Black Myth: Wukong is an amazing Action RPG that was released on August 20, 2024, and it came with a ton of customization options and pieces of equipment. This game was inspired by the Classical Chinese Novel called “Journey to the West” and follows the story of Sun Wukong. Players follow his journey as he fights epic boss battles in a linear open world. This game also features various armor sets that players can use to boost their stat points as well as provide passive bonuses. This article will go over the three best armor sets that players can obtain.
Pilgrim Set
Each armor set provides passive bonuses based on the number of set pieces equipped. 4 pieces belong to the armor and another piece can be based on the weapon. Pilgrim Set is an uncommon Armor set in Black Myth: Wukong and provides the unique effect of allowing the use of Gourd when sprinting. This allows the player to be more mobile during an encounter.
Other than that, it provides two passive bonuses based on 2 pieces equipped and one on 4. At the first tier, it increases the sprint speed of the player. In the second tier, it allows the player to increase the damage of the player when sprinting. When a player is sprinting each second provides a stack of damage bonus that can stack up to 10 times.
Bull King Set
Bull King Set is a mythical Armor set in Black Myth: Wukong and has one of the highest defense ratings in the game. It is composed of four pieces and is obtainable from a questline in Chapter 5. It provides a unique intrinsic bonus that allows the player to grant moderate Focus when taking damage.
If a player is staggered, then the Focus gain is further increased. It also provides two tiers of passive bonuses. At 2 Armor pieces, when a player receives damage, it boosts the defense rating of the player. At 3 Armor pieces, this Armor set disables perfect dodges but grants Tenacity when the player’s health is below half. Overall this is a great armor set focused around defense.
Monkey King Set
Monkey King Set is a mythical Armor set in Black Myth: Wukong that is obtained after defeating Feng-Tail boss fight in Chapter 6 of the game. It is an endgame Armor set that players will have to use in New Game Plus to take advantage of. This Armor set also includes a weapon, meaning it has 5 Armor pieces. This Armor set focuses on Critical Hits and ability regenerations. With three pieces of Armor sets equipped, increases the chances of players getting a Critical Hit after using an ability. At 5 pieces of armor, using a Critical Hit on an enemy combatant reduces the cooldown of all spells.
