Black Myth: Wukong is a brand-new Action RPG that is inspired by the classical Chinese novel called “Journey to the West”. Players follow the story of Sun Wukong as he fights epic battles against some of the coolest bosses in gaming history. There are also a lot of secrets to explore and quests to complete in the beautifully designed world of the game. This article will go over how players can complete the Cursed Man in Stone questline, which appears in Chapter 2 of the game.
How to Start the Questline
Players must be in Chapter 2 of the game to start this quest in Black Myth: Wukong. The first thing that players will need to do is to collect Stone Essence. This item is dropped from a boss in Chapter 2. Players should travel to the Rockrest Flat Shrine in Fright Cliff. From there, turn back and go into the cave. After entering the cave, immediately jump to the right and keep moving forward.
The player will then reach a boss called Mother of Stones. It is a gimmick boss fight, in which the boss does not fight back and in turn, will spawn enemies. After avoiding the smaller enemies and then depleting the health of the boss, players will be rewarded with Stone Essence. This item should be provided to the Man in Stone.
Where to Find Man in Stone
To find the Man in Stone in Black Myth: Wukong, turn back and head out to the entrance of the cave. Now travel to the other area behind the Shrine and then drop down below to the right. There the players will find the Cursed Man in Stone. Players will need to deliver the Essence Stone to him and once done, the Cursed Man will wake up.
To progress the questline, players will need to hit the Cursed Man in Stone. This will trigger a boss fight with the character. Defeat the boss and then players will be able to get the Essence Stone back as well as a brand-new spell called Azure Dust. It allows the player to transform into a rock guai that is immune to all four banes. This will complete the quest line of the Cursed Man in Stone.
Man in Stone Vendor
To access the Man in Stone vendor in Black Myth: Wukong, players will first need to rest at a shrine. After resting they can travel back to where the character is located and interact with him. This will open up a shop menu from which players can purchase the following items.
- Blood of the Iron Bull for 3,280 Will.
- Iron Pellet for 12,800 Will.
- Goldflora Hairpin for 12,800 Will.
- Sobering Stone for 6,480 Will. This is a quest item that unlocks the secret area in Chapter 2.
