Black Myth: Wukong is a brand-new Action RPG that was released on 20 August 2024. It is inspired by the Classical Chinese Novel called “Journey to the West” and follows the story of Sun Wukong. The game is set in a semi-open world and features a ton of secrets and amazing boss fights. There are a lot of questlines and secrets present in the game and are very rewarding to complete. This article will go over how to find the Yellow Loong Boss.
Loong Scales
To fight any Loong boss in Black Myth: Wukong, players must first obtain Loong Scales. Loong Scales are obtained from Chapter 2 of the game and are a part of the King of Flowing Sand and The Second Prince Boss fight. This is a dual-boss fight and it results in two outcomes. If players kill the King first, then the Prince will become outraged and will drop a piece of Pungent Flesh upon defeat. If the Prince is defeated first, then the King will simply flee.
If the King has fled, in the next arena this will activate the First Prince of Flowing Sand boss fight. Otherwise, players will need to use the Pungent Flesh to summon the boss. There is a weak wall in this arena and players need the First Prince to perform a smash attack on the wall. If players fail, they can break the wall on their own by using the Spirit of Wandering Wight. Once the wall has been broken, head inside and players will come across a chest that will reward players with Loong Scales.
Yellow Loong
Players now need to progress to Chapter 4 of Black Myth: Wukong and reach the Cliff of Oblivion Shrine in Webbed Hollow. Once there, travel to the left path. Players will reach a staircase and then a hand. Travel over the hand and keep moving forward. Drop down and then turn right. Drop down once more and this time turn left. There will be a narrow bridge in front of the players. Now keep moving forward in a straight path for a while and eventually players will reach a forest area.
Once here, take the left staircase and keep moving forward. Eventually, players will see a Shrine where they can rest. Then straight up players will see a cliff and will see a Loong Dragon standing on the edge. Approach him and a cutscene will start and players will be able to fight the Yellow Loong. After defeating him, players will be prompted to interact with a Staff. This will reward players with Transformation of Yellow Loong as well as Seas-Supporting Tendon which is required to craft a Mythical Staff.
