Black Ops 6 is here, and there is no way the world will be the same again. It brought more players than any other game franchise in the last two years when it was released. Something unique about its release is that it is the first Call of Duty game available on GamePass on day one. This option funneled more Xbox and PC gamers into the shooting universe, also with PlayStation gamers. Now that it is here, players have only been given a few days to dive in before Black Ops 6 Season 1 arrives, offering more. With its recent release, one of the world’s most popular shooting games will provide a first-season update, keeping things fresh.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 Timing
Since its release, players have gotten double XP over a weekend or through several product offers. Many gamers will recognize classic maps like Nuketown and enjoy some of the game franchise’s best weapons. With all of that, we now have more coming to different aspects of the game in Warzone, Battle Royale, and more. Here is what Season 1 offers in Warzone and Black Ops 6. The update will launch the new battle royale and Black Ops 6 content together on Thursday, November 14th. Here are the times:

- Pacific Time: 2024 at 9 a.m.
Game Size & Modes
Wherever you are, players will have to download an above-average update and then get ready for that Mad Minute weapon in hand on a new map moment. If you are planning to play on your PC, you will have the opportunity to preload before release. Console players will have to wait for the patch to be available to download just a few hours before game time. The Season 1 patch file will be about 50GB. The update will be 35GB, and the Warzone addition will be around 10GB. The file size is around 90GB. One of the game’s biggest draws is the ability for players to test their skills with their friends in battle royale. In this update, gamers can access new load-outs, weapons, perks, powerups, tracts, and camos that are available in Warzone, zombie mode, and Black Ops 6 multiplayer.
Where Games Go
Black Ops 6 has centered its Warzone map around one of its most popular maps, Area 99. The government has built a facility centered around Nuketown research. The area is comprised of partially built houses along with government production structures. There will also be classic Warzone maps making a comeback, with the original iteration of Urzikstan returning for Battle Royale and Plunder game modes on launch and Rebirth Island returning for the Resurgence game mode shortly after that.
There will be many tools to help gamers. Warzone combines 177 primary, secondary, and melee weapons, 11 tactical grenades, 10 lethal grenades, 12 kill streaks, and 17 field upgrades from Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, and Black Ops 6 into one Call of Duty experience, allowing players to pick and choose from the biggest arsenal they’ve ever had access to in the franchise’s history.
New Ways To Play
This is for players who are in for the long haul. Black Ops 6 has promised new maps, modes, weapons, and more will debut during the coming season. The game’s new season will offer three brand-new multiplayer maps: Hideout, Heirloom, and Extraction, with another map, Racket, that will be coming midseason. Then, it will also come with the best time of the year holiday version of Nuketown, and Hacienda from Black Ops 4 will return at some point during the season. New multiplayer game modes will also be added. Ransack will be coming, where gamers will fight 6 vs. 6 for gold bars in quick stashes and spawns. With danger everywhere, players grab and stash gold bars somewhere and defend them.
Go For Gold
Then, there is also a new 6v6 mode called Ransack, which will see players fighting over gold bars throughout the map and lugging them back to a stash at spawn. In order to win, players will need to stash new gold bars, defend their own stash, and raid the enemy loot. Fan favorite mode Prop Hunt is also returning midseason, with other limited-time modes promised in the future.
Ranked Play will also be coming for more challenging gamers, where players can compete to earn SR in competitive matches across game modes like Control, Hardpoint, and Search and Destroy. Playing ranked game modes will allow players to earn exclusive operator skins for their Rogue Black Ops and Crimson One teams, depending on how much SR they earn throughout the season.
Take In Hand
New additions to load-outs will also increase the arsenal players can work with. Seven new weapons will be added throughout the battle pass and seasonal events: the Krig C assault rifle, Saug SMG, Maelstrom shotgun, AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle, Sirin 9mm special weapon, and cleaver, and power drill melee weapons will all be available by the end of the season. Along with the new weapons, there are new buffer weight stock and Dragon’s Breath under barrel attachment. There are also other loadout additions, including a new slot two perk to hide players from enemy traps and mines, a slot three perk that reveals enemies hit by your tactical and lethal grenades on your minimap, a wildcard that allows players to carry a fourth scorestreak into core game modes, and a new Hand Cannon scorestreak.
Classic’s & The New
Not only are there returning classic and familiar aspects to the game, but Black Ops 6 Season 1 comes with Directed Mode maps for Liberty Falls and Terminus, guiding players through the Easter eggs with a round cap of 15. Note that the bonus challenges for the Janus Ray Gun skin and the Trophy Collector operator skin will disappear when this update is released. In taking out the undead, the halfway point of Season 1 offers a new zombie map: the Citadelle des Morts. It will continue the Dark Aether storyline, picking up where Terminus left off. The map will feature a new Perk-A-Cola, enemy type, and new wonder weapons. There is a new field upgrade and ammo type, and three new gobblegums will be added for use on every Black Ops 6 zombies map. The Hand Cannon scorestreak will also be available to build.
You Will All You Can Get
Perk-A-Cola will also be adding a field upgrade, and each ammo type will have its own augment research tree with six augments each to unlock as players shred through the undead hordes, adding more depth to the zombie meta-progression system. While specific details about the new zombie content haven’t been shared, the official Season 1 blog post promises more information will be released in December. No matter how you look at it, Black Ops 6 Season 1 comes right on time for the holiday season, offering gamers a fresh look at the game just after its release. It proves there are more ways to play and offers new ways to do it.
