Complete Guide to Howl of the Storm in Destiny 2

Howl of the Storm is a part of the Stasis Subclass. This subclass launched with the Beyond Light expansion and it completely changed the ability sandbox of Destiny 2. It was the first subclass that introduced the concept of Fragments and Aspects. These were later introduced in other Light subclasses as well. Fragments are all subclass items that provide intrinsic bonuses and are common across Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans. Aspects are much more potent and are unique to a specific class. This article will cover everything players need to know about the Howl of the Storm Aspect.

How to Obtain

To obtain Howl of the Storm Aspect in Destiny 2, players must have completed the Beyond Light campaign. After which they must travel to the Exo Stranger Vendor on Europa. She will give players a quest called Aspect of Influence. Completing this quest on any Titan class will unlock this Aspect. To complete it players must travel to the Well of Infinitude location and interact with the Entropic Shards present there. Players will then need to complete a Heroic Exo challenge. Then they must travel to the Ziggurat in Europa and will obtain this Aspect.

Howl of the Storm is a Stasis Aspect that is exclusive to the Titan subclass. It comes with two Fragment slots, meaning that when players have this Aspect equipped they can slot two Fragments as well. This Aspect uses the Melee ability of players to create Stasis crystals. It goes well with the power fantasy of what Behemoth Titans are supposed to do, that is create and shatter crystals.

This Aspect allows the player to slide and when they have a charged Melee, press the Melee button. This will allow them to do an animation that will leap them upwards. During this, a wave of Stasis crystals will go forward. These crystals will also slow and freeze enemies that are in the nearby vicinity. It is a very strong Aspect that is capable of controlling crowds of enemies.

How to Synergize

Howl of the Storm Aspect is only present on the Stasis subclass for Titans on Stasis and is not present on Prismatic. Meaning players must be on the Stasis subclass to utilize it. Now as players can have two Aspects at a time, a great pairing with Howl of the Storm will be either Cryoclasm or Tectonic Harvest.

Cryoclasm will allow players to slide into the crystals they generate to immediately break them. This will allow the players to utilize the damage potential of these crystals way more efficiently. Tectonic Harvest will allow the Stasis crystals to spawn Stasis Shards, which will provide damage resistance as well as Melee energy. This Melee energy will allow Titans to activate Howl of the Storm much more frequently in Destiny 2.
