Destiny 2 has released various Raids and Dungeons over the years. These are the pinnacle activities in the game that rewards players with some of the best weapons and Exotics. Apex Predator is also a Legendary weapon that drops from The Last Wish Raid. This Raid was released with The Forsaken expansion. However, in Lightfall this Raid received a perk refresh that changed the perk options this weapon can get. Apex Predator Overview
Apex Predator is an Adaptive Frame Rocket Launcher that has Solar affinity. Adaptive Frames are the most desirable Rocket Launchers archetype thanks to their higher damage potential. This weapon also has perks that allow it to boost the damage as well as greatly boost or neglect the Reload Speed. This weapon also comes with the Origin Trait called Explosive Pact.
The Origin Trait allows this weapon to get more Stability or Reload Speed when activating the Grenade ability. This weapon has 14 perk options. In the left column, the available perks are Slideways, Reconstruction, Incandescent, Demolitionist, Danger Zone, Tracking Module, and Threat Detector. In the right column, the perks present are Bait and Switch, Vorpal Weapon, Explosive Light, Bipod, Surrounded, Collective Action, and Frenzy.
PvE God Roll
For Rocket Launchers, players want to boost the damage as much as possible as well as decrease the Reload Speed. For Apex Predator, Hard Launch is the best barrel option, as it boosts the Velocity of the rounds. Impact Casing is the best Magazine option which increases the impact damage of the Rocket. Players should also choose Reload Speed as the Masterwork option.
In the left column, there are two options that players should consider. Reconstruction or Demolitionist. Reconstruction slowly reloads the weapon over time to double the Magazine capacity. This allows Apex Predator to hold two rockets at a time as well as provide an Auto-Loading Holster effect. Demolitionist will allow the weapon to automatically Reload when you activate your Grenade. This is the ideal perk for Grenade-based builds and also synergizes well with the Origin Trait.
In the right column, there are two damage-boosting perks Explosive Light and Bait and Switch. Explosive Lights require Orbs of Powers to work whereas Bait and Switch require dealing damage with the other two weapons as well. This is the better general damage-dealing option and results in an overall higher DPS value.
