Destiny 2: Bitter/Sweet God Roll Guide

Destiny 2 released a brand-new Episode Revenant in The Final Shape expansion. It came with a brand-new activity, Exotics, and seasonal weapons. There are currently six of the seasonal weapons in the Act 1. More weapons will be released later during Acts 2 and 3 of the Episode. All these weapons come with a unique Origin Trait called Dark Ether Reaper. It allows the kills with the weapons to create Ether Orbs which can be shot at or collected. Collecting them refills the ammo of the weapons from reserves, potentially overflowing it.

Bitter/Sweet is an Adaptive Frame Grenade Launcher that takes Heavy ammo. It also has Arc elemental affinity and has access to perks that synergize well with the Arc subclass. Adaptive Frame Grenade Launchers are also some of the best when it comes to burst DPS, crowd control, and overall damage. Thanks to other recent buffs they have received, they are one of the more optimal damage options in the game.

This weapon can roll with 14 perk options in Destiny 2. In the left column, players can choose from Loose Change, Attrition Orbs, Perpetual Motion, Unrelenting, Stats for All, Sympathetic Arsenal, and Reverberation. In the right column, the perk options present are Frenzy, Killing Tally, Harmony, Bait and Switch, Explosive Light, Cascade Point, and Jolting Feedback.

PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want to optimize the Velocity of the weapon as players can bypass the Reload thanks to the perk options available on Bitter/Sweet. For this players should use Hard Launch as the barrel option and a Velocity Masterwork. For the Magazine perk, Spike Grenades is the clear choice. Not only do they increase the Stability of the weapon, but they also increase the impact damage of the weapon.

In the left column of Bitter/Sweet, there are some interesting perk options. Loose Change is the ideal choice in the left column if players are utilizing Jolting Feedback in the right column. Loose Change increases the Reload Speed of the weapon whenever a subclass debuff is applied on a target. This goes hand in hand with the perk Jolting Feedback. It allows the damage dealt with the weapon to Jolt target which is an Arc debuff. It is a great perk combination that allows both crowd control as well as Arc synergy.

The other perk option that is suited for DPS is the combination of Sympathetic Arsenal with Bait and Switch. Sympathetic Arsenal is a left-column perk that allows the weapon to be automatically reloaded from the reserves. However, it requires players to deal damage with the other two weapons and then switch to this weapon. This perk synergizes amazingly with Bait and Switch in the right column. It allows dealing damage with the other two weapons to increase the damage of this weapon by 35 percent for 10 seconds. This is some amazing synergy that allows players to completely bypass Reload while doing extreme damage.
