Bygones is a Gambit weapon in Destiny 2. No matter how people might people about this gamemode, there is no denying the fact that Gambit weapons are some of the best in the game. Bygones is an Adaptive Frame Pulse Rifle that has no elemental affinity. Adaptive Frames are decent in both the PvE and PvP sandbox. This weapon, however, has some insane perk options. It also comes with Gambit exclusive Origin Trait called Gun and Run. This improves the sprint speed upon rapidly defeating enemy combatants.
Bygones Perk Overview
Bygones has a massive perk pool of 24 perks. In the left column, the available perks are Demolitionist, Attrition Orbs, Perpetual Motion, Subsistence, Rangefinder, Zen Moment, To the Pain, Keep Away, Shoot to Loot, Under Pressure, Outlaw, and Lone Wolf. In the right column, the available perks are Frenzy, Osmosis, Firefly, High Ground, Eye of the Storm, Desperado, Vorpal Weapon, Desperate Measures, Kinetic Tremors, Headseeker, Kill Clip, and Closing Time.
PvE God Roll
For PvE, players want to boost the Range and Reload Speed of Bygones. This can be done by using Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel perk, Light Mag as the Magazine option, and a Reload Speed Masterwork. In the left column, there are several good perk options but the best available option is Demolitionist. It regenerates Grenade ability energy upon getting kills with the weapon.
In the right column, there are also a lot of good perk options. Frenzy not only boosts damage but also the Reload Speed of the weapon. Firefly is a great crowd control perk that causes an explosion upon getting precision kills. Kinetic Tremor is an amazing perk that creates a shockwave upon landing enough shots on an enemy combatant.
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Light Mag
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Left Column: Demolitionist
- Right Column: Firefly, Frenzy, Kinetic Tremors
PvP God Roll
For PvP, Range is the most important stat for Bygones. It can be improved by using Hammer-Forged Rifling as the Barrel perk, Ricochet Rounds as the Magazine perk, and a Range Masterwork. In the left column, there are great dueling perks for The Crucible. Zen Moment improves the Stability and flinch resistance of the weapon. Keep Away improves the Range, Reload Speed, and Aim Assist of the weapon. Perpetual Motion is another perk that improves the stats of the weapon upon being in motion.
In the right column, there are a lot of good perk options but players should consider a damage-dealing perk because it lowers the time to kill the weapon. The best choice for that is High Ground. High Ground requires you to shoot enemies from a higher area. Upon doing that players get a 15 percent damage bonus. This perk can also be activated by getting kills from a lower or on the same height level area.
- Barrel: Hammer Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Masterwork: Range
- Left Column: Keep Away, Zen Moment
- Right Column: High Ground
