Destiny 2 released their first-ever Episodic model of content with the release of The Final Shape expansion. The first Episode is called Echoes and is divided into three different Acts. Each Act brings brand-new weapons and content. Third Act launched on August 27 came with two brand-new weapons, one returning weapon, as well as an Exotic Mission. This Exotic mission is called Encore, and it drops the new Exotic Auto Rifle called Choir of One. This article will go over everything you need to know about this weapon.
How to Obtain Choir of One
Choir of One is a drop from the Encore Exotic mission. Exotic missions are three-player activities that can also be done solo. Encore takes place on Nessus and features a brand-new mechanic that players will use throughout the mission. There are also two major encounters and after defeating the final boss of the mission, players will obtain this Exotic Auto Rifle. This weapon will also have a red border applied to it, meaning players will automatically get the Craftable version of this weapon.
Choir of One Overview
Choir of One is the first of its kind Command Frame Auto-Rifle. It is the first archetype of Auto-Rifle that consumes Special Ammo and has Void affinity. This archetype allows this weapon to fire at 225 rounds per minute. This weapon fires extended-range, heavy-caliber projectiles at a reduced rate of fire. This allows the weapon to deal increased Precision damage when aiming down sights.
This weapon also comes with the Exotic perk called Fanatical Lance. This perk works similarly to the Radiolaria Transposer Origin Trait allowing rapid final blows with the weapon to create a pool of white fluid that damages enemies inside it. This weapon also has a different firing mode when firing from the hip, allowing it to fire multiple slow-moving projectiles that detonate on impact. This allows the weapon to deal with massive burst DPS.
Perks Overview
Choir of One has three Exotic Catalysts options available. These catalysts will be unlocked later on in the Episode and will add a perk to the weapon. There are three catalysts. One unlocks the Subsistence perk; one unlocks Onslaught perk, and one unlocks Destabilizing Rounds. Subsistence allows kills with the weapon to reload a portion of the magazine. Onslaught increases the rate of fire as well as Reload Speed when getting kills with the weapon. Destabilizing Rounds is a Void synergetic perk that allows the kills with the weapon to make nearby enemies volatile. It is also an extremely good crowd-control perk.
Players can take two routes here. For general purposes, Onslaught is the best option. It increases the DPS of the weapon by allowing a faster rate of fire as well as boosts the Reload Speed of the weapon. If players are looking for Void synergy, then Destabilizing Rounds is the obvious choice here. Other than for Barrels and Magazines, players want to boost Reload Speed as high as possible.
