Destiny 2: Chroma Rush God Roll Guide

Chroma Rush was originally released in Season of the Splicer in Destiny 2. However, in Episode Revenant it is making a return. This time this weapon has even better perk options and an Origin Trait. The Origin Trait is called Splicer Surge and is present on every returning Season of the Splicer weapon. This Trait allows the weapon to gain increased Reload Speed and Handling when reloading after dealing damage. This effect remains till the weapon is stowed.

Chroma Rush is a Rapid-Fire Frame Auto Rifle that has no elemental affinity. It is one of the best of the archetypes and was extremely popular when it was first released back in Season of the Splicer. It has now returned with some new popular perks as well as the perks that made it good back then. This weapon also has a nice synergy with its Origin Trait. This weapon has 12 perk options. In the left column, players have the option of using To the Pain, Heating Up, Subsistence, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Killing Wind, and Tunnel Vision. In the right column, the Destiny 2 perks available are Kill Clip, Frenzy, Rampage, Target Lock, Kinetic Tremors, and Tap the Trigger.

PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want the Reload Speed to be as high as possible on Chroma Rush. Using Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel choice, Flared Magwell as the Magazine, and a Reload Speed Masterwork is the best option. For PvE, there is only one good option in the left column and that is Subsistence. It refills a portion of the weapon’s magazine upon getting a kill. This will allow this weapon to keep firing without ever needing to reload.

In the right column, there are two options that players must consider. Rampage which pairs well with Subsistence. Rampage provides a damage boost upon killing an enemy which stacks up to 3 times. Kinetic Tremors is another great perk that releases a shockwave from the enemy upon shooting them enough time. This serves as a really good crowd control and a damage-over-time perk.

PvP God Roll

Chroma Rush has good perk options for The Crucible. Rapid-Fire Auto Rifles are fun to use in PvP but are usually held back due to their poor Range. This weapon makes up for it by providing Range boosting perks. Players also want to use Hammer Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, and a Range Masterwork. In the left column, every perk except Subsistence is a good option.

Killing Wind will be the best option in the left column. It boosts the Range of the weapon after scoring a kill as well as provides a boost to movement speed. In the right column, the player can go the route of either Kill Clip or Tap the Trigger. Kill Clip increases the damage of the weapon when players reload after getting a kill. Tap the Trigger is a dueling perk that increases the Stability and Aim Assist when players initially fire the weapon.
