Destiny 2 released a new set of weapons with the launch of Episode: Echoes and a set of returning weapons from Season of the Dawn. This time they were introduced with brand-new perks and Origin Traits. The weapons from the current Episode come with the Origin Trait ‘Radiolaria Transposer’ which allows Multikills from these weapons to create a pool of white fluid on the ground that continuously damages the enemies inside it. It is an extremely good Origin Trait that pairs extremely well with the perks that are present on these weapons.
How to Obtain Corrasion
Corrasion is a brand-new weapon that is a part of the new Episode: Echoes therefore, it is obtainable from all the activities associated with this Episode. This weapon can drop as a random drop after the end of activities like Echoes Battlegrounds, Breach Executable Activity, and Enigma Protocol. Players can also use Echo Engrams that drop from every single activity in the game to focus this weapon. Players can turn in their Engrams at the Failsafe vendor in the Helm.
Corrasion Overview
Corrasion is a Heavy-Burst frame Arc Pulse Rifle that is the first of its kind. Heavy-Burst Pulse Rifles are a new archetype that was introduced with Destiny 2 The Final Shape and they have been extremely popular in PvE. They are capable of dealing high DPS as compared to other Primary ammo weapons in the game. In The Crucible, however, they are held back because of their extremely unforgiving time to kill value.
This Pulse Rifle comes with 14 perks in both of their columns, with 7 perks on the left and 7 perks on the right. In the left column, High-Impact Reserves, Perpetual Motion, Enlightened Action, Eddy Current, Pugilist, Perfect Float, and Air-Trigger are available as perk options. In the right column, Focused Fury, One for All, Voltshot, Swashbuckler, Frenzy, Eye of the Storm, and High-Ground are the available perk options.
Corrasion PvE God Roll
In PvE, players must focus on getting the Reload Speed and damage of Corrasion as high as possible. In the left column, there is a damage-boosting perk High-Impact Reserves but it does not pair well with the damage-boosting perks that are present in the right column. Therefore, having a Reload Speed perk is the best choice. There are three perks Enlightened Action, Eddy Current, and Perpetual Motion that boost the Reload Speed of the weapon. Having any of these as a Reload Speed boosting perk is acceptable.
In the right column, we have several damage-boosting perks like One for All, Voltshot, Frenzy, Swashbuckler, and Focused Fury. Out of all these, the best available option is Voltshot. It allows reloading after a kill and causes the next shot of your weapon to Jolt enemy combatants on hit. Jolt not only deals additional damage but is an excellent tool for crowd control. Voltshot also synergizes extremely well with Reload-Speed boosting perks.
Corrasion PvP God Roll
In The Crucible, the time to kill of the Corrasion is its main problem. So, players need to choose perks that boost range as well as those that increase the damage of this weapon. In the left column, Perpetual Motion is extremely good as it provides extra Reload Speed, Handling, and Stability when you are in motion which helps a lot in a duel. For Barrels, players can use Hammer-Forged Rifling or Smallbore from the additional Range and Stability.
As a Magazine option, Accurized Rounds are the best option as they provide a flat +10 Range. In the Right column, we want a damage-boosting perk and High Ground is the player’s best bet. High Ground provides a damage bonus when you are on a platform that is above your opponent. It also recently got a buff where getting a kill with this weapon also provides you with a damage bonus. This combined with Perpetual Motion makes this weapon a force to be reckoned with in The Crucible.
