Destiny 2: Critical Anomaly God Roll Guide

Destiny 2 The Final Shape was released with a ton of exciting weapons. The most interesting weapons were without a doubt from the Salvation’s Edge Raid. This is a brand-new Raid that was released with The Final Shape and is widely regarded by the community as the best and hardest Raid that Bungie has ever launched. There are six brand-new weapons present in this Raid, each bringing something new to the game.

Critical Anomaly Overview

Critical Anomaly is an Aggressive Frame Sniper Rifle that has Stasis Affinity. It is the first of its kind and thanks to the perks combinations it can get is one of the best Snipers in the game. This weapon comes with a Raid exclusive Origin Trait called Collective Purpose. It allows the weapons to gain bonus Range and Handling when allies are nearby which is beneficial in The Crucible.

All the Salvation’s Edge weapons come with 14 perks. In the left column, this weapon can get Reconstruction, Chill Clip, Rewind Rounds, Keep Away, Rampage, Opening Shot, and Quickdraw. In the left column, we have the perks Bait and Switch, Headstone, Chaos Reshaped, Explosive Payload, Triple Tap, Firing Line, and Snapshot Sights available.

Critical Anomaly PvE God Roll

Critical Anomaly is one of the best Sniper Rifles for PvE, thanks to the double damage-dealing perks it has available. Players also want to prioritize getting the Reload Speed as high as possible. For this purpose, players can use Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel option, Tactical Mag as the Magazine option, and a Reload Speed Masterwork.

In the left column of perks, we have a lot of great options but what makes this weapon stand out is the availability of Chillclip. Chillclip shots from the top half of the magazine to slow and eventually freeze enemy combatants. This allows to weapon to counter Overload and Unstoppable Champions as well as cause extra damage due to the Shatter effect.

In the right column, we have a ton of damage-dealing perks but players should go with what makes this weapon unique. Salvation’s Edge weapons come with an exclusive perk called Chaos Reshaped. This perk works in two stages. When you remain in combat for 6 seconds you get a 15 percent damage boost, and when you remain for 12 seconds it bumps to 35 percent. The second stage also provides healing to the player. This perk combined with Chillclip makes this weapon the highest damaging weapon in PvE.

Critical Anomaly PvP God Roll

For The Crucible, players want to have a decent distribution of Range, Stability, and Handling. Players can use Corkscrew Rifling as a Barrel, Accurized Rounds as a Magazine option, and a Handling Masterwork. In the left column, players have the best perk possible for The Crucible and that is Opening Shot. This is a great perk for Sniper Rifles that boosts the Accuracy and Range of the first shot of the weapon.

In the right column, there is only one perk option that is suited for the Crucible and that is Snapshot Sights. Luckily, it is one of the best perks for Sniper Rifles. This perk combined with Opening Shot makes any Sniper Rifle a force to reckon with in The Crucible. Critical Anomaly is also helped a lot thanks to the Origin Trait that is present on this weapon.

Conclusion

Critical Anomaly is one of the best Legendary Sniper Rifles in the game that is capable of dealing insane DPS. It also counters Overload and Unstoppable Champions well. Players must choose the God Roll of Chillclip with Chaos Reshaped for PvE. For the Crucible, players must go with the classic roll of Snapshot Sights and Opening Shot.
