With the recent Marathon Livestream, Destiny 2 players were left wondering when we will get more information on the next expansion. Players do not need to wait any longer. However, they will have to wait and see what we are getting for another three weeks from today. While much is still up in the air for the upcoming expansion, we do know some bits of what to expect.

For the eager players, we must wait three more weeks to get the juicy information on the next expansion. May 6th is the announced date for the Livestream, and rest assured, we all will count down the days until it begins. It is also the first time we know the exact name of the expansion, previously called Codename Apollo. Edge of Fate is the name of the first expansion coming as part of a two-expansion per year series, the first in Destiny 2’s lifespan.

What We Know So Far

It has been months since players received new information on the expansion. Many players’ fear of another delayed release grew. However, with recent announcements, this expansion is on course to release in the Summer of this year. Bungie previously announced what we can expect. The changes feature a rework to the weapon and armor system, a campaign that allows players to choose their path, selectable difficulties for activities, and new dungeons. We will get more information on all these items and most likely more during the Livestream.

Final Thoughts

The excitement is hitting high notes and will likely reach a crescendo in the next three weeks. We know little regarding the upcoming year for the game, but it is an extraordinary feeling knowing that most of our questions will receive answers very soon.
