Destiny 2: Forthcoming Deviance God Roll Guide

Destiny 2 The Final Shape launched with a brand-new Raid called Salvation’s Edge. It is widely regarded by the player base as one of the hardest and the best Raid that Bungie has ever released. It also has some of the best loot in the game, featuring 6 Legendary weapons as well as 1 new Exotic weapon. All of these weapons come with an Exclusive Origin Trait called Collective Purpose. It allows the weapons to gain bonus Range and Handling when allies are nearby.

Forthcoming Deviance is a Rapid-Fire Frame Glaive that has Void affinity. It is the first of its kind and comes with some of the best perk combinations ever seen on a Glaive. Glaives are not very popular in PvE and are rarely used in The Crucible. Rapid-Fire Frames are considered one of the best archetypes for Glaives and this one has some amazing combinations that make it worth using.

It also comes with 14 perks, with 7 on the left and 7 on the right. In the left column, it has Reconstruction, Replenishing Aegis, Demolitionist, Impulse Amplifier, Immovable Object, Grave Robber, and Disruption Break. In the right column, it has perk options like Chain Reaction, Chaos Reshaped, Destabilizing Rounds, Close to Melee, Desperate Measures, Vorpal Weapon, and Unstoppable Force.

Forthcoming Deviance PvE God Roll

In PvE, the shield generated by Glaives is really strong allowing players to maximize their defenses and block nearly everything. This shield is generated when you cause Projectile damage with Glaives and is drained slowly over time once players start blocking. This shield combined with some other defense options like Woven Mail and Frost Armor will allow you to tank nearly everything in the game.

Players should use Auxiliary Reserves as the Haft option as it greatly increases the Shield duration of the Glaive. However, it does come at the cost of a Reload Speed penalty but we can counter this by using a Reload Speed Masterwork. Light Mag is also a really good Magazine option as it increases both Range and Reload Speed. In the left column of this weapon, there are two perks that players should consider and it is Reconstruction and Replenishing Aegis. Both of these perks allow the weapon to reload itself while you are blocking with your shield out.

Where both of these perks differ is that Replenishing Aegis pulls ammo from reserves when you are blocking damage. So it will allow you to keep blocking with your Glaive and shooting without needing to Reload. This will in return provide you with indefinite Shield as long as your ammo does not run out. Reconstruction also reloads the weapon on its own. This perk is slower than Replenishing Aegis but it does not require you to block damage to activate it.

In the right column, Chaos Reshaped is a Raid exclusive perk option that works in two stages. The first stage allows you to stay in combat for 6 seconds and then it will provide a 15 percent damage bonus. When you stay in combat for a total of 12 seconds the damage boost will increase to 35 percent and it will also periodically heal the player. This is an amazing perk and makes this Glaive stand out from the rest.

Conclusion

Forthcoming Deviance is an extremely good Glaive that comes with some of the best perk combinations to exist on a Glaive. It belongs to the best archetype of Glaives and also has great Void synergy. The perk combination of Replenishing Aegis / Reconstruction with Chaos Reshaped will allow you to have incredible defense while also maintaining high damage.
