Destiny 2: Fortunate Star God Roll Guide

Destiny 2 just released their annual summer event called the Solstice in The Final Shape Expansion. Solstice comes with 4 weapons out of which 3 are returning and 1 is brand-new. Solstice also brought brand-new armor sets for Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. The new weapon of this Solstice is called Fortunate Star and appears with two Origin Traits. Dream Work is the Solstice exclusive Origin Trait and for a Bow, it allows that any assists or assisted final blows decrease the Draw Time of that Bow.

Fortunate Star can be obtained from playing the Bonfire activity exclusive to Solstice. It is a Lightweight frame Bow that has Void affinity. Lightweight Bows are usually overshadowed by Precision Frame Bows but this weapon brings some extremely good perk options. Fortunate Star also has Veist Stinger as an Origin Trait option which is one of the best Origin Traits in the game.

Fortunate Star has 14 perks. In the left column, it has perk options of Loose Change, Successful Warm-Up, Hip-Fire Grip, Enlightened Action, Archer’s Tempo, Air Trigger, and Repulsor Brace. In the right column, we have the options of Archer’s Gambit, Precision Instrument, Opening Shot, Kill Clip, Golden Tricorn, Destabilizing Rounds, and Disruption Break.

Fortunate Star PvE God Roll

Fortunate Star has some amazing perk options for PvE. In the left column, players must focus on three perks. Archer’s Tempo is a great perk that decreases Draw Time with every Precision hit. Successful Warm-Up decreases Draw Time with every kill and any of these perks can be used if a player is looking to decrease their Draw Time. Repulsor Brace is also a good choice which provides a player with a Void Overshield when defeating a Void debuffed target.

In the right column, Destabilizing Rounds pair extremely well with Repulsor Brace and is one of the best Void synergy perk combinations. Other than that Kill Clip and Golden Tricorn are extremely good damage-dealing perks. Kill Clip grants bonus damage after every reload whereas Golden Tricorn grants bonus damage after defeating a target which can be boosted by getting a Grenade or Melee final blow.

Fortunate Star PvP God Roll

In PvP, players must decrease the Draw time as much as possible while keeping the Accuracy high. Accuracy masterwork is nice to have with Elastic String as the Bowstring option. For Arrow, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft is the best available option. For The Crucible, there is only one route that players should go that makes Fortunate Star extremely deadly.

In the left column, players must choose Hip-Fire Grip which greatly increases Accuracy, Stability, and Precision Shot accuracy when you are firing a Bow from Hip-Fire. This perk will pair extremely well with Archer’s Gambit in the right column. This perk allows that after a Precision Shot from Hip-Fire, the Bow’s Draw Time is massively reduced. This perk combination greatly shifts the time to kill of this weapon, making it one of the deadliest Bow in The Crucible.

Conclusion

Fortunate Star is a brand-new Solstice weapon that drops from Bonfire Bash. It has some really good perk options for both PvE and PvP. The Origin Traits also help this weapon a lot. For PvE, players want the perk combination of Successful Warm-Up / Repulsor Brace with Kill Clip / Destabilizing Rounds. For PvP, the combination of Hip-Fire Grip with Archer’s Gambit is the best option.
