Destiny 2: Hezen Vengeance God Roll Guide

Destiny 2 Hezen Vengeance

Over time, we have seen the older raids in Destiny 2 get a weapon refresh. While the weapons themselves have stayed the same, their perks have not. Most importantly, these weapons are available for crafting, meaning players can guarantee their god-roll. Vault of Glass became the newest addition to that list with the release of Episode: Heresy. Instantly, the weapon taking the spotlight is the Rocket Launcher, Hezen Vengeance.

Hezen Vengeance Overview

Hezen Vengeance is an Aggressive Frame Rocket Launcher that deals Solar damage. With its perk refresh, it has become one of the premier damage options for all classes. Hunter players have taken a particular liking to the weapon. It has renewed the opportunity to solo the Witness Encounter in the Salvation’s Edge raid. While players have not achieved the feat in recent months, the best players are on the precipice.

Hezen Vengeance boasts fourteen different perk options, with a significant portion of them having a use case. The left column has several options that improve the reload of Hezen Vengeance: Auto-Loading Holster, Cluster Bomb, Demolitionist, Envious Arsenal, Impulse Amplifier, Incandescent, and Overflow. The right column adjusts the damage output of the Rocket: Bait and Switch, Bipod, Collective Action, Elemental Honing, Explosive Light, Lasting Impression, and Vorpal Weapon.

PvE God Roll

The best damage weapons in Destiny 2 in the current sandbox have ways to improve the reload speed. Hezen Vengeance is no exception. By far, the best option players must craft is Envious Arsenal. The perk reloads the Rocket Launcher through damage from a player’s other two equipped weapons. Activating this perk takes little effort from a player and works exceptionally well with a perk in the right column. Bait and Switch is a preferred option alongside Envious Arsenal. Dealing damage with all three equipped weapons causes the weapon with Bait and Switch to deal 30% increased damage.

One alternative to Bait and Switch in the right column is Elemental Honing. While it has a higher damage output with a total of 35% damage, increasing it requires more setup. Players deal damage with different elements, each adding one stack up to five. With an optimal setup, players will attain a 35% increase. With Envious Arsenal equipped, players do not need to fit their barrels, magazines, or masterworks with reload speed. The preferred options in this case are Quick Launch, Impact Casing, and a Handling Masterwork. These options improve handling, velocity, and overall damage.

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: Impact Casing
  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Left Perk: Envious Arsenal
  • Right Perk: Bait and Switch, Elemental Honing

PvP God Roll

While Hezen Vengeance is not the same powerhouse in PvP as it is in PvE, it is a potential option for players. The best left-column perk is Cluster Bomb. The cluster bombs released increase the chance of eliminating opposing guardians. Vorpal Weapon in the right column could come in clutch with its increased damage to Guardians in their super. Increasing velocity and blast radius is crucial to improving the potential of Hezen in PvP. Quick Launch, High Velocity Rounds, and a Blast Radius Masterwork give the best stats for both.

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High Impact Rounds
  • Masterwork: Blast Radius
  • Left Perk: Cluster Bombs
  • Right Perk: Vorpal Weapon
