Destiny 2: Ignition Code God Roll Guide

Destiny 2

Revenant is the second Episode released during The Final Shape expansion of Destiny 2. It will feature a brand-new set of activities as well as weapons. These seasonal weapons are accompanied by returning weapons from Season of the Splicer. These weapons were prevalent back in the day and are now returning with some amazing new perk options. They will also have a brand-new Origin Trait called Splicer Surge. This allows the weapons to gain extra Reload Speed and Handling when reloading after damaging an enemy combatant.

Ignition Code Overview

Ignition Code is a Special Ammo Grenade Launcher that has no elemental affinity. It is the only Grenade Launcher that has the perk option Slideshot on it. This is huge for this archetype as it allows one to completely bypass the reload of the weapon. This weapon also comes with other perks that synergize well with the Origin Trait present on the weapon.

This weapon has 12 perk options. In the left column, players have the choice of Lead from Gold, Permeability, Slideshot, Ambitious Assassin, Unrelenting, and Steady Hands. In the right column, players can choose from Vorpal Weapon, High Ground, Harmony, Reverberation, Strategist, and Frenzy.

PvE God Roll

Ignition Code is a Lightweight Frame Grenade Launcher and they are only popular in PvE. These weapons do not perform well in The Crucible Sandbox unless there are special perk options like Disruption Break. This weapon lacks these special perk options and therefore is only viable in the PvE sandbox. However, thanks to the amazing perk options we have available, it might be the best Grenade Launcher in the game.

Slideshot is the only perk in the left column that players should consider. It allows the weapon to refill a portion of the magazine as well as gain a boost to Range when sliding. Since Grenade Launchers only have one ammo in the magazine. Sliding will automatically reload the weapon. The best part about Slideshot is that it does not have a cooldown timer and players can just keep sliding and shooting. It allows for strong crowd control as well as damage.

Players will want a Velocity Masterwork for this weapon as well as Quick Launch as the Barrel option. In the magazine, there are two options that players should consider depending on how they want the Grenade Launcher to perform. Spike Grenades are the best general option, that deals increased damage on direct hit. The other option is Disorienting Grenades which temporarily blinds the enemies it hits.

This is a great choice for challenging endgame activities in Destiny 2 such as Grandmaster Nightfalls. In the left column of Ignition Code, players want a perk that boosts the damage of the weapon. Vorpal Weapon and Frenzy both are the easiest ones to activate. Vorpal Weapon provides a direct 15 percent damage boost to bosses and mini-bosses. Whereas Frenzy activates after being in combat for a while and provides a 15 percent damage boost as well as 100 reload speed.
