Martyr’s Retribution is a Wave Frame Grenade Launcher that has Solar affinity. It was released in Season of the Dawn when there was no Solar 3.0 so it had no Solar synergy perks. This time however it features amazing perk options that synergize well with Solar subclasses across Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. It also features the Origin Trait called Cast No Shadows. It allows that when you cause Melee damage you refill the part of the magazine as well as increase the weapon’s Handling.

This works amazingly with this weapon as it only has one weapon in the magazine, allowing you to reload the weapon with just a Melee hit. This weapon also features Heal Clip, Auto-Loading Holster, Envious Assassin, Field Prep, Demolitionist, and Threat Detector in the left column. In the right column, Incandescent, Kill Clip, Vorpal Weapon, Strategist, Adrenaline Junkie, and Desperate Measures are present.

Martyr’s Retribution PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want to boost the Reload Speed and Velocity as high as they can. For this purpose, Hard Launch as a Barrel option, High-Velocity Rounds as a Magazine option, and a Reload Speed Masterwork should be used. The rest of the stats are negligible. For Martyr’s Retribution, it is important to see that using a Melee will automatically reload the weapon thanks to the Origin Trait present. If a player is planning to utilize this Trait then it should not use other Reload boosting perks or perks that provide benefits after Reloading.

In the left column, two options stand out. Heal Clip allows the weapon to grant Cure to you and nearby allies which synergizes with Solar subclass. Another option that exists is Demolitionist, which allows weapon kills to generate Grenade energy. Considering a Wave Frame Grenade Launcher is amazing for clearing groups of enemies, Demolitionist can easily be maintained.

In the right column, all of the available perk options are beaten out by Incandescent. It is an amazing perk that allows kills with the weapons to create a Solar explosion that Scorches nearby combatants. It works well with Heal Clip by providing players with total synergy with the Solar subclass. It also works great with Demolitionist, as kills due to the Scorch effect will also generate Grenade energy.

Conclusion

Martyr’s Retribution was already an amazing weapon in Season of the Dawn and it became even better this Episode. It has one of the best Origin Traits allowing Melee damage to automatically reload the magazine. It also features the perk combinations of Heal Clip / Demolitionist in the left column with Incandescent in the right column.
