Destiny 2: New Exotic Armors in Revenant

Destiny 2

Revenant is the second Episode that is released in Destiny 2. It comes with its own three acts and features a lot of new content and items. This Episode has come with a brand-new Exotic Armor piece for Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. Revenant focuses heavily on the Stasis subclass as it is clear from the Artifact perks available. These Exotics are also Stasis-focused and provide some amazing synergy with the subclass. This article will go over all the new armor pieces and how they perform.

Rime-Coat Raiment

Bleak Watcher is a Warlock Stasis Aspect and is one of the strongest and easiest-to-use abilities in the game. It is also present on the Prismatic Subclass and allows to players to turn their Grenades into a turret. This turret shoots projectiles which slows and eventually freezes nearby combatants. Rime-Coat Raiment is a new Exotic for Warlock and it focuses solely on the Bleak Watcher Aspect.

This Exotic comes with a perk called Bleak Domain. This enhances the Bleak Watcher Aspect by providing them more Range as well as creating a circle of Stasis crystals around them. While players are inside this circle they are granted Icicles over time. These activate when a player shoots their weapon, allowing them to slow enemies on a hit. This can be any weapon and does not need to have Stasis affinity.

Blastwave Striders are the brand-new Exotic armor for Titans in Destiny 2. These allow the players to be more resistant to explosive damage inflicted by themselves. This armor piece also has a charge-up mechanism that charges once players defeat enemy combatants. Once charged, players can perform a slide or explosive self-damage. This will require players to get used to as they can activate this perk accidentally.

This will allow them to perform a rocket jump backward. This will be followed by projectiles that will create Stasis Crystals on impact. This jump also provides players with Frost Armor, which is a defensive buff. This Exotic is extremely unique and requires a certain playstyle to benefit. When built around in Episode: Revenant, it can prove extremely beneficial with a lot of crowd control potential.

Mask of Fealty

Withering Blade is the Stasis Melee ability of Hunters in Destiny 2 that is present on both the Stasis and Prismatic subclass. It is a potent ability that can hit multiple targets as well as slow enemies. Mask of Fealty is the Exotic armor piece for Hunters in the Revenant Episode and improves the potency of this Melee. It comes with a perk called the Null Factor.

This perk improves Withering Blades by allowing the hits with the Melee ability to create a Stasis Crystal. Hits with the Blades also refund Melee ability. This Exotic has another part to it where using the Melee ability to shatter frozen targets or crystals release a spread of Withering Blades. This synergizes well with the Stasis subclass, allowing for more ability uptime as well as crowd control.
