destiny 2 perfect paradox

Destiny 2 released two brand-new weapons as well as a returning Season of the Dawn weapons with the release of Act 2 of Episode Echoes. Perfect Paradox is a returning weapon that has been introduced with a new set of perks as well as a new Origin Trait. The Origin Trait on this weapon is called Cast No Shadows which states that dealing melee damage increases the weapon’s Handling and loads a small amount of ammo from reserves. This Origin Trait pairs extremely well with the perks present on this gun.

How to Obtain Perfect Paradox

Perfect Paradox belongs to Episode Echoes and is therefore obtained from all the activities associated with these Episodes. These activities include Echo Battlegrounds, Breach Executable, and Enigma Protocol. You can also turn in Echo Engrams to focus on Perfect Paradox from Failsafe in the Helm.

Perfect Paradox is a Rapid-Fire frame Kinetic Shotgun. This archetype of Shotguns is desirable in PvE but there are better options in The Crucible. Perfect Paradox does have some amazing perk options. In the left column, it has Threat Remover, Pugilist, Dual Loader, Field Prep, Slideshot, and Threat Detector. In the right column, it comes with Barrel Constrictor, One-Two Punch, Vorpal Weapon, Opening Shot, Swashbuckler, and Trench Barrel.

Perfect Paradox PvE God Roll

For PvE, Shotguns shine the most when they are used with Melee-focused builds. Therefore, players should look for perks that benefit Melee damage or the perks that benefit Perfect Paradox’s damage when using Melee. In the left column, Pugilist is a nice perk option as it provides Melee ability on kills. Players can also use Threat Detector thanks to the extra Handling and Reload Speed that it provides.

In the right column, players have two options, One-Two Punch and Trench Barrel. One-Two Punch increases the damage of your Melee ability after you land all pellets with your Shotgun whereas Trench Barrel increases the damage of your Shotgun after you land a Melee hit. So depending on the player’s build, they can use either One-Two Punch or Trench Barrel. Both of these perks work extremely well with the Origin Trait of Perfect Paradox, dealing Melee damage and getting a boost to weapon Handling as well as getting ammo filled from reserves synergizes extremely well with both One-Two Punch and Trench Barrel.

This makes Perfect Paradox one of the best Shotguns in PvE, especially if players are running a Melee-focused build. Looking at Barrels and Magazine options, we want to boost the Range as much as possible as it is the only shortcoming of Shotguns. So for Barrel, you can go with Arrowhead Brake or Smallbore. For Magazine, players can use Accurized Rounds or Light Mag. For masterwork, a Range or Reload Speed masterwork will be perfectly fine.

Perfect Paradox PvP God Roll

For The Crucible, the most important stat for Shotguns is the Range stat, so the Barrels like Smallbore and Magazine options like Accurized Rounds are essential which boost the Range of the weapon. A Range masterwork will also be an icing on top. In the left column, we also have the perk Slideshot which increases the Range of the weapon after you slide which synergizes well with the playstyle of Shotguns.

In the Right column, we have the fan-favorite perk of Opening Shot available. Opening Shot improves Accuracy and Range on the opening shot of the attack. This combined with Slideshot, makes any Shotgun extremely good and reliable. So if you are looking for any Shotgun that performs well in both PvE and PvP, Perfect Paradox is the one for you.
