Destiny 2: Sovereignty God Roll Guide

Sovereignty

Destiny 2 has just released a brand-new Episode called Revenant in The Final Shape expansion. This Episode was released with a returning and refreshed activity, a reprised set of returning weapons from Season of the Splicer, and a new seasonal set of weapons. These seasonal weapons come with their own Origin Trait called Dark Ether Reaper. This trait allows the final blows with the gun to create Orbs. These Orbs can be shot at or collected to refill the portion of the weapon’s magazine, potentially overflowing it.

Sovereignty Overview

Sovereignty is a brand-new Adaptive Frame Sniper Rifle with Void affinity. Adaptive Frame Sniper Rifles are among the best Sniper archetypes in both PvE and PvP. This weapon is more inclined towards the PvE sandbox. The Origin Trait is also much more suited for PvE and will rarely see any use in The Crucible.

This weapon has 14 perk options. In the left column, players can choose from No Distractions, Demolitionist, Steady Hands, Explosive Payload, Discord, Dragonfly, and Enlightened Action. In the right column, players have the options of Adrenaline Junkie, Firing Line, Harmony, Desperate Measures, Precision Instrument, Box Breathing, and a new perk called Withering Gaze.

PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want to boost the Reload Speed as high as possible. Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel option, Extended Mag for Magazine, and a Reload Speed Masterwork are the best possible perk options. In the left column, there are a lot of good options but what makes Sovereignty stand out is its ability to have Explosive Payload in the left column. It provides a flat 15 percent damage boost and having such a perk in the left column is good for overall DPS.

In the right column, Explosive Payload can be complimented by a lot of different damage-boosting perks. Firing Line provides a 20 percent damage bonus but requires you to be standing around 2 or more allies. Precision Instrument is another perk option that increases the damage of the weapon with every successful hit. Withering Gaze is a new perk and applies the Weaken debuff to enemies which is good for Void synergy.

PvP God Roll

Sovereignty does not have good perk combinations for The Crucible. There are better Adaptive Frame Sniper Rifles that perform well in PvP. In the left column, players should consider No Distraction, which provides flinch resistance after aiming down sight. Explosive Payload does not provide additional damage but flinches opposing enemies well. This will not help when dealing with headshots but will make body shots more forgiving.

In the right column, Harmony is the only perk option that makes sense. It provides the weapon with a damage boost after getting killed with another weapon. Since Sovereignty is a Sniper Rifle, players can get a kill with a primary ammo weapon and then switch to this weapon for extra damage. Other than that, all the other perks are more suited for PvE.
