Destiny 2 The Final Shape expansion launched with a variety of brand-new weapons. It introduced some never-before-seen archetypes and weapons. In Season of the Wish, Bungie released Indebted Kindness. It was the first ever Rocket Assisted Frame Sidearm and it instantly became extremely popular in Destiny 2 PvE. It was rarely used in The Crucible but it was a monster in PvE, thanks to its ammo economy, ease of use, and high damage. Seeing the popularity of that weapon, The Final Shape introduced two new Rocket-Assisted Frame Sidearms, The Call and Aberrant Action.
The Call Overview
The Call is the first of its kind Strand Rocket Assisted Frame Sidearm and it is Traveler’s Pale Heart Destination weapon. Players can obtain it by completing Pale Heart activities namely Overthrow. This weapon is also Craftable meaning players can enhance the perks available on it. This Sidearm also features a ton of exciting perk options for different playstyles.
This weapon has 14 perks, 7 on the right and 7 on the left. In the left column, perks available are Stats for All, Demolitionist, Beacon Rounds, Slice, Lead from Gold, Strategist, and Subsistence. In the right column, we have options like Hatchling, Multikill Clip, Vorpal Weapon, Adrenaline Junkie, Desperate Measure, and One for All. There are a ton of damage perks available on this weapon.
The Call PvE God Roll
The Call also comes with the Origin Trait of Dealer’s Choice which allows the kills with the weapon to generate Super energy. For PvE, players want to boost Reload Speed as high as possible as the rest of the stats are not that important. Players can use Hard Launch as the Barrel option, High-Velocity Rounds as the Magazine option, and a Reload Speed masterwork.
In the left column, players must decide between ability regeneration perks or utility perks. Stats for All is a perk that players wanting extra Reload Speed must consider. Lead from Gold is a great utility perk which is a must-have if players are running double special ammo weapons. Demolitionist and Strategist are ability regeneration perks and are based on the player’s preference where they want Grenade or Class ability energy respectively. All of these are great options and just depend on the player’s preference.
In the right column, there are plenty of damage-boosting perks available. Vorpal Weapon provides a flat 15 percent damage bonus to the weapon. Multikill Clip is the highest damage bonus but it is difficult to maintain especially in harder-tier content. Golden Tricorn is also a good perk that provides a 15 percent damage bonus when getting a kill with the weapon, then getting a kill with Grenade and Melee of matching damage type boosts the damage to 50 percent.
The best damage-boosting perk to have is One for All in the right column. It allows rapidly hitting three combatants to provide a damage boost of 35 percent for 10 seconds. This perk is the easiest to maintain in higher difficulty content and the damage bonus provided is also really significant. So, any of the mentioned perks in the left column with One for All is the best roll for PvE.
Conclusion
The Call is the first-ever Strand Rocket Assisted Frame Sidearm and is stacked with some amazing perk options. In the left column, there are a ton of choices like Lead from Gold, Strategist, Demolitionist, and Stats for All. In the right column, the best damage-dealing perk to pair it with is One for All. This combination makes this weapon one of the best in the game for PvE.
