Raids are the pinnacle activities of Destiny 2. They offer some of the most prestigious weapons in the game. Transfiguration is one such weapon that drops from The Last Wish Raid. This Raid was reprised during Season of the Deep. All the weapons from this Raid were made Craftable and were given new perks, as well as a brand-new Origin Trait. This Origin Trait is called Explosive Pact. This allows the weapon to gain more stability and Reload Speed when activating your Grenade ability.
Transfiguration Overview
Transfiguration is a High-Impact Frame Scout Rifle that has no elemental affinity. High-Impact Frame Scout Rifles are decent in both PvE and PvP. They are accurate and deal high damage but suffer from slow rate of fire and Reload Speed. This weapon however has perk options that help it in countering both issues.
This weapon comes with 14 perk options. In the left column, this weapon can roll with Rewind Rounds, Rampage, Perfect Float, Keep Away, Discord, Rapid Hit, and Demolitionist. In the right column, the perks available are Adrenaline Junkie, Kill Clip, Explosive Payload, Kinetic Tremors, Harmony, Opening Shot, and Moving Target.
PvE God Roll
For PvE, players want to increase the weapon’s reload speed to as high as possible. Transfiguration also has a slow Reload Speed. Players can counter this with the help of Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel perk, Flared Magwell as the Magazine perk, and a Reload Speed Masterwork.
In the left column, many options for PvE that cater to various playstyles. Demolitionist is a great ability regeneration perk. Rapid Hit will increase the Reload Speed of the weapon on getting precision hits. Rampage will increase the damage of the weapon with every kill stacking up to three times. In the right column, Kinetic Tremors is the only perk that makes this weapon stand out. It allows hits with the weapons to generate a shockwave at the target’s position, allowing you to deal damage over time.
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Flared Magwell
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Left Perk: Demolitionist, Rapid Hit, Rampage
- Right Perk: Kinetic Tremors
PvP God Roll
For PvP, players should aim for a balanced stat distribution. They should go for Fluted Barrel as the Barrel option, Accurized Rounds as the Magazine option, and a Handling Masterwork. The novelty of Transfiguration in PvP comes from its ability to get double damage-dealing perks. This includes the combination of Rampage with Kill Clip.
Rampage increases the damage of the weapon with every kill stacking up to three times. Kill Clip also increases the damage of the weapon when reloading after a kill. Both of these combined greatly decrease the time to kill of the weapon, making it extremely lethal in The Crucible. If players do not want to go with this approach, they can also use Keep Away in the left column with Explosive Payload in the right.
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Masterwork: Handling
- Left Perk: Rampage
- Right Perk: Kill Clip
