Destiny 2 features many exciting Exotic weapons that are unique in how they feel and perform in the PvE and PvP sandbox. With the launch of The Witch Queen expansion and weapon crafting, Bungie has also released a few Craftable Exotic weapons here and there. Wish-Keeper is the latest Exotic weapon to be made Craftable and was released in Season of the Wish as the final reward of the Starcrossed Exotic mission. It is a great Exotic Bow that performs exceptionally well in PvE with little to no use in the PvP sandbox.
How to Obtain Wish-Keeper
Wish-Keeper is the reward from the Exotic Mission ‘Starcrossed’ released in the last season ‘Season of the Wish.’ To obtain this Exotic Bow, players have to complete the Starcrossed mission once. Once they have completed it, the final chest of the mission will reward them with it. It will also come with an intrinsic red border allowing players to craft it and level it up. This weapon also comes with different perk options, that will require players to complete Starcrossed on Expert difficulty which is quite a challenging task. Players will also want to complete some tasks in the Exotic Mission to get access to further perks for the Exotic Bow.
Wish-Keeper Overview
Wish-Keeper is a Precision frame Strand Exotic Bow. Precision frame Bows are the most desirable Bow types in both PvE and PvP. This Exotic Bow comes with its own Exotic Intrinsic trait called Snareweaver. Snareweaver works like a charge system, where defeating targets with this weapon especially with Precision kills build charges. Once players have 6 charges on the Bow they can hip-fire the next shot and it will create a suspending trap on the ground which will Suspend all enemies that step into it.
This weapon also has an Exotic perk called Silkbound Slayer which allows the weapon to deal bonus damage to suspended target as well as decreases the draw time of the Bow when you suspend an enemy. Hence, Silkbound Slayer synergizes extremely well with Snareweaver.
Wish-Keeper Perks
Wish-Keeper comes with four different perks that players can choose from. These include two brand-new and exclusive perks Enduring Snare Refit and Multi-Threaded Snare Refit. There are also two old perks Vorpal Weapon and Hatchling. Enduring Snare Refit causes the Snareweaver traps that are deployed to last longer whereas Multi-Threaded Snare Refit causes each Snareweaver trap to Suspend significantly more combatants.
Vorpal Weapon is the only damage-dealing perk present on this weapon and it increases the damage of Wish-Keeper against bosses by 20 percent. Hatchling perk allows this weapon to create a Threadling when getting a Precision final blow or when rapidly defeating combatants. Threadling is a great perk that synergizes extremely well with the Strand subclass.
Wish-Keeper PvE God Roll
All of the four perks present on Wish-Keeper are good and perform well. However, the best perk for PvE is without a doubt Hatchling. The Threadlings that this perk generates synergized well with the Strand subclass as well as provide additional damage and crowd control. On a Bow, this perk is also really easy to take advantage of and proc over and over again.
For the rest of the Magazine options, we want to reduce the draw time of this Exotic Bow as much as possible. Elastic String is a really good option as it significantly decreases draw time at the cost of weapon Accuracy (which is not a problem in PvE). To counter the Accuracy loss, we can use Fiberglass Arrow Shaft or Straight Fletching. Wish-Keeper also comes with four grips, out of which the best option will be the Polymer Grip.
