The MSI champions dominated game one. Canyon ran the rift, always finding plays on side lanes and being in the right place at the right time. Faker struggled in the first game, but regained himself in the rest of the series. Many expected GenG to roll through the rest of the series, but T1 had other plans. T1 read GenG’s side lane plays and circumvented them to gain advantages in both games. They did not give GenG many chances and won the series 2-1. It spells GenG’s first series defeat in 152 days. Keria Thresh and Gumayusi Aphelios returned in game three, and GenG could not answer them.

The series was a whiplash after the first series of the day. BRO and DRX made plenty of mistakes, often swinging the games back and forth between the teams. In the end, BRO made fewer mistakes and performed better in teamfights to win the series. Andil especially struggled in this series, getting caught out at the worst times. In game two, he did not protect Teddy well enough. BRO were better in the first game, but bad decision-making on the Atakhan led to them dropping the first game.
