There were a couple of moments where DNS had a lead, but they were few and far between. DK is putting their stamp on the LCK so far in their first two games.

Game One Summary

The game kicked off with Pyosik invading Lucid’s red side camps. He followed that up with a gank on the bot lane to garner two kills. Lucid managed to recover by taking both Scuttle Crabs. Pyosik stole the second Drake, but the fight went in favor of DK. From that point onwards, DK never let go of their lead. They won every fight and every skirmish.

The combination of Ambessa and Lulu made it impossible for anyone on DNS to escape an engagement. The final battle started okay for DNS. Thanks to DuDu’s Equaliser, they bought time to chunk Siwoo and secure the Drake. However, as soon as the ultimate faded, DK engaged, leading to five kills. They pushed forward onto the Nexus, earning a couple more kills and the game victory.

Game Two Summary

The first action of the game was in the bot lane again. This time it was Lucid there first. He helped get the first blood, while Pyosik traded his life for a kill on Smash. Two ganks from Pysoik earn a lead for deokdam as well as the first Drake of the game. The draft for DK proved too much for DNS. Ekko and Gwen on the sidelanes won the game in isolation, securing push and plate advantage. Both of them had a gold lead above 1k gold for an extended period.

DK was able to win the 3v3 mid lane, the one place that DNS should have had a lead. The gold lead crested 7k at 22 minutes. DNS thought they caught Smash, but DK collapsed faster, earning four kills with their lead. After securing Baron, DK pushed down mid to end the game and the series.

Series Summary

DNS started game one well with a cheese gank from Pyosik. However, that felt like the only time that DNS held a lead during the series. DK took over throughout the two games. The fight around the second Drake decided the first game. Despite Pyosik’s steal, the kills going to DK allowed them to snowball the game. The draft for the second game was heavily in DK’s favor. Siwoo’s Gwen won in isolation against Sion while ShowMaker slowly chipped away at Clozer.

Once the mid-game arrived, Siwoo and ShowMaker took over. The other three DK members dominated the 3v3, which opened up the game. Lucid was a standout during the series, carrying DK on Ambessa and Xin Zhao. Pyosik tried to keep DNS in the LCK Cup series, but the team struggled individually across the board.
