MSI 2025 Opening Day

MSI 2025 Day 3 Preview: Do Or Die For Two Hopeful Teams

G2 Esports and GAM Esports find themselves in an all-important MSI series. The winner will qualify for the Bracket Stage. Both teams have played against the same opponents, registering identical scores. That record holds promising expectations for this series. The teams should battle it out in five games, but with G2’s potential, they might end up running away with a 3-0 dominant victory.

MSI Day Three Schedule

The final day of Play-Ins features one match. Unfortunately for EU fans, the start time is 5 pm PST (2 am CET June 30th). They will either need to stay up to watch the match or wait until the following day to rewatch.

G2 Esports Versus GAM Esports

G2 Esports 3 – 2 GAM Esports

At the start of MSI, most would have had faith in G2 to dominate the series against GAM. However, with their recent matches against Furia and Bilibili Gaming, doubt has crept in. G2 is looking like a shell of their former selves and might bow out against GAM if they are not careful. GAM must fix their problem in the mid-lane if they want to defeat G2. Emo and Aress have looked shaky during MSI, and with Caps on the other side, they will need to up their performance. If G2 finds their form, they could demolish GAM 3-0, but given the short turnaround, the series will most likely go to five games.

How The Day Will Impact Proceedings

The match between G2 and GAM is the final series of the MSI Play-Ins Stage. The winner will proceed to the Bracket Stage, while the loser is eliminated from the competition. If G2 is victorious, they will lock in a meeting with GenG Esports, while BLG faces Movistar KOI. However, if GAM triumphs over the European representative, a draw must occur to determine the first-round matchups for the Play-Ins teams.
