T1 roster League of Legends Gumayusi retires Worlds 2025

Worlds 2025: Anyone’s Legend Become Another T1 Victim

Anyone’s Legend had to go through three LCK teams to reach the Worlds semi-finals. They were unable to get through the final one. T1 continued their dominance of the LPL, but it was close. AL pushed T1 to the brink, forcing them to come back from a 2-1 deficit. Had AL been more clinical in the decisive moments, they could have ended T1’s streak against the LPL at Worlds.

Worlds 2025: Anyone’s Legend Player Review

Flandre

Total Apex rating – 6.8 (tied 1st among top laners, tied 8th among players)

Champions Played

  • Rek’Sai (4)
  • Ambessa (2)
  • Aatrox
  • Aurora
  • Kled
  • Mordekaiser

Flandre asserted himself as the best Rek’Sai at the tournament. His teamfighting on the champion was incredible. He also single-handedly kept AL alive in game four against T1’s dive. He had the better of Doran throughout the series, although part of that was due to the draft and T1 putting Doran on the weak side.

Tarzan

Total Apex rating – 6.7 (3rd among junglers, tied 12th among players)

Champions Played

  • Qiyana (2)
  • Jarvan IV
  • Maokai
  • Pantheon
  • Sejuani
  • Skarner
  • Trundle
  • Wukong
  • Xin Zhao

The workhorse behind the majority of AL’s success. Tarzan had consistent performances during Worlds. His worst performance came against T1 in the first game of the series. T1 managed to target him on Qiyana in the majority of fights, preventing him from contributing in team fights. He also unfortunately missed out on the pivotal Hextech Soul smite in the final game.

Shanks

Total Apex rating – 6.7 (4th among mid laners, tied 12th among players)

Champions Played

  • Leblanc (2)
  • Ryze (2)
  • Cassiopeia
  • Galio
  • Orianna
  • Syndra
  • Taliyah
  • Yone

Shanks was consistently strong throughout the tournament. He did not have an exceptional game, but he rarely made mistakes that led to losses. Had he stepped up in his final two games against T1, maybe they would have won one of them. Granted, coming up against the clutch factor of Faker at Worlds is nearly impossible to topple.

Hope

Total Apex rating – 5.7 (11th among players, 51st among players)

Champions Played

  • Corki (2)
  • Jhin (2)
  • Yunara (2)
  • Ezreal
  • Jinx
  • Sivir
  • Ziggs

Hope was the weakest player on the AL roster. His worst performance came against T1, a trend we are starting to notice for the AL players. Hope got caught out too many times by T1’s dive. In his defence, a mistake could lead to his death. He was punished multiple times and was baited by Keria’s Neeko clone trick.

Kael

Total Apex rating – 6.3 (4th among supports, tied 22nd among players)

Champions Played

  • Leona (2)
  • Neeko (2)
  • Poppy (2)
  • Alistar
  • Bard
  • Braum
  • Lulu

Kael had one of the best Poppy plays of the tournament. He knocked away both of GenG’s carries to give AL an advantage despite the gold deficit. He then caught Ruler’s Killer Instinct and instantly stunned him into the wall to turn the game around. He also took Bard away from Keria and showed that he can perform as the champion.

Anyone’s Legend Team Review

AL had the unfortunate circumstance of facing T1 in the Worlds Quarterfinals. They were a contender to lift the Summoner’s Cup. They had one of the more difficult draws and almost came out on top. Even though they lost, they remained competitive throughout the series. Had one or two moments gone their way in game five, they may have been Champions.
