Worlds 2025: AL Versus T1 – Can AL Topple the T1 Dynasty?
T1 has never lost a Best-of-Five series to an LPL team at Worlds. T1’s worst finish at Worlds is the semi-finals. T1 is the defending back-to-back champions. That is what Anyone’s Legend has to face tomorrow. AL must defeat the best team in the history of League of Legends to advance to the semi-finals. They are one of the teams that should be favored to defeat T1. But can they overcome T1’s plot armor at Worlds?
Worlds 2025: Anyone’s Legend Versus T1 Schedule
The final quarterfinal match of Worlds begins at 12:00 AM PT (8:00 AM CET). Who will advance to face Top Esports in the semi-final?
Worlds 2025: Anyone’s Legend Versus T1 Head-to-Head and Match History
AL and T1 have met each other on two occasions in 2025. The first was the Lower Bracket Final at MSI. T1 prevailed in that series with a 3-2 victory. A week later, the teams would face off at EWC in the semi-finals. AL won 2-0. Both teams would go on to lose to GenG Esports 3-2 in their respective competitions.
AL had a dominant road to the Bracket Stage. They went 3-0. Along their path, they defeated Hanwha Life Esports and GenG in a Bo1. Their qualification match was a 2-1 victory over CTBC Flying Oyster. T1, on the other hand, took the long route. They were the last team to qualify for the Swiss Stage, needing to defeat IG in the Play-In match. They were also the last team to qualify for the Bracket Stage, beating Movistar KOI. During their run, they lost to CFO and GenG. Their other Swiss Stage victories came against Western opposition.
Key Champion Picks
For anyone who has watched T1 this year, two champions should stay permanently banned in the series: Bard and Azir. Keria on Bard and Faker on Azir can warp games. They have gotten the champions once during the Swiss Stage, and they showed why they should not be available. Yunara might be banned for most of the series, as she has been throughout the tournament.
One of the contentious picks is Poppy. Both Keria and Kael have shown proficiency on the champion that outclasses most supports. Oner is also terrifying on Poppy, but he is less likely to get the champion. The last notable pick is Ziggs. T1 has struggled to deal with Ziggs compositions and has not executed them well. Will they have an answer to the AP botlaner?
T1 Plot Armor

Every time T1 comes to Worlds, in recent editions, they have looked weak. They are never the favorites to win. Despite this, they have won twice in a row. Coming into the Bracket Stage, they have had their weakest Swiss Stage performance. But it is T1 at Worlds. They never lose a Bo5 to the LPL, and they always at least make the semi-finals. AL has a mountain to climb if they want to dethrone T1.
Doran’s Issues
Doran remains a question mark on T1. His previous Worlds’ performances have made fans question whether he is one of the best top laners in the world. He has not dispelled those concerns with his form at this year’s Worlds. While he has not been the only weak point of T1, he always makes questionable mistakes in unnecessary situations. Will the T1 magic strengthen Doran as it has with Zeus in the past?
Worlds 2025: Anyone’s Legend Versus T1 Prediction
AL 3-2 T1
It might be the time that the T1 magic does not pull through. Going off recent form, AL are the favorites. They have been one of the best teams at the competition. T1, on the other hand, has scraped through to get here. Despite this, there is something about T1 that causes doubt. They have had their backs against the wall before and produced greatness. The winner of this series will be determined by T1. If they ascend, AL might not stand a chance. If they falter, AL will succeed.
A Meeting With TES
TES managed to defeat G2 today. The winner will face the LPL third seed in the semi-final. Regardless of who that is, they will be favored against TES to qualify for the Grand Final.
