The long wait for the new college football video game is over. After 11 years since the last one was brought out, a release date has finally been revealed for EA Sports College Football 25. Many aspects of the game were factored into the timing of a new college game. Fans had been left in suspense for the last several years with information and teasers of EA Sports College Football 25.
However, no one knew what the title would be as there was speculation in the last three years of an upcoming release. On Thursday, an official release date and cover was announced to the public. The Deluxe Edition hit social media last week, but now everyone will play the waiting game until the launch comes.

The official release date of EA Sports College Football 25 is set for July 19, 2024. Gamers have not played a college version of football since 2013. Since that time, the game has changed in reality with rule changes and name, image, and likeness for student-athletes. The Deluxe Edition cover includes Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards.

Originally, the Standard Edition was priced at $69.99 for next-generation players. The Deluxe version will be listed at $99.99 with Ultimate Team packs as well as a chance to preorder the new EA Sports College game. The MVP edition will allow players to preorder Madden 25 with more perks to follow.
What Consoles College Football 25 Will Be On
The new College Football 25 game will be released on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation platforms. Unfortunately, a PC version of the upcoming title will not be available in 2024. As things get worked out as the game is launched, creators and producers may figure out a way to let PC gamers experience the awaited college game in the near future.
Things That Will Not Be In EA Sports College Football 25
Major awards will not be used or shown in the new EA Sports College Football game. This will include the Bednarik, Biletnikoff, Davey O’Brien, Doak Walker, Grozo, Jim Thorpe, Maxwell, Outland, and Ray Guy awards. Not that these accolades are of the utmost importance as players will want to experience more gameplay throughout the experience.

One big adjustment to the EA Sports College Football game will be the name, image, and likeness of the 10,000+ players who opted into the new video game. This is something that creators held back years into producing the title and game after NCAA Football 14 came out. Many people believed that the players and student-athletes should have been paid revenue to play while in college.
Well, now fans and creators have gotten what they wished for. Not everyone is in agreeance with this avenue, as players already pay enough money to attend a university or college institution in pursuit of a degree. The good news is that this gave the go-ahead to start the process of creating EA Sports College Football 25 a couple of years ago.
NIL revenue gives money to every college student-athlete as well as endorsements and sponsorships to partner with businesses around the world.
Players like Donovan Edwards, who is a reigning national champion with the Michigan Wolverines feel a sense of pride in being able to grace the cover as he stated, “EA Sports games are legendary and to see myself on the cover of College Football 25 is truly surreal,” Edwards said. “It’s a huge honor to join past Michigan greats as a cover athlete on an EA Sports college football game and keep the tradition going.”
The Wolverines are the only school to hold a cover athlete in a college video game since the 1990s. They have been represented four times in that span.

Today was the revealing of the official release date and cover for the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game. Tomorrow will be the official reveal that will include gameplay and features. Fans everywhere are excited to play the game in the next nine weeks.
