Echoes of Wisdom Potions: All 10 Recipes for Zelda

Echoes of Wisdom potions

If you’re looking into how to make The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom potions, look no further. The latest adventure from the iconic franchise sees the titular character in the starring role for the first time. The game merges the two eras of Zelda in more ways than one, including by bringing food items to 2D top-down adventures. Much like Link could cook his own food and eat it for various effects in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Zelda can use the items she has to make items, too. That includes some new and exciting Echoes of Wisdom potions.

All 10 Echoes of Wisdom Potions

There are only 10 possible potions in Echoes of Wisdom. There are 59 possible smoothies, of which you can find the recipes here. For potions, do the following combinations:

  • Tough Potion: Monster Guts and Tough Mango
  • Chilly Potion: Monster Guts and Chilly Cactus
  • Warming Potion: Monster Fang and Warm Pepper
  • Piping-Hot Potion: Monster Guts and Warm Pepper
  • Electro Potion: Monster Guts and Electro Apple
  • Bubble Potion: Monster Fang and Bubble Kelp
  • Rapid Potion: Monster Fang and Riverhorse
  • Climbing Potion: Monster Fang and Rocktato
  • Radiant Potion: Monster Fang and Radiant Butter
  • Twisty Potion: Monster Fang and Twisted Pumpkin

Princess Zelda needs only one of each item to make these Echoes of Wisdom potions.

How to Make Potions in Echoes of Wisdom

To make potions in Echoes of Wisdom, players must find Smoothie Shops. These primarily work for making smoothies, but the Business Scrubs will make potions if supplied with the right ingredients. There are six total Smoothie Shops around Hyrule. They are located in the Gerudo Oasis, Kakariko Village, Goron City, just north of Hyrule Castle Town, Seesyde Village, and in the Faron Wetlands. As long as players combine the right ingredients, they will make potions and not smoothies. Be careful to follow the recipes so as to not waste rare items such as Monster Fangs and Guts.

There is one key difference between smoothies and potions, though. To make a smoothie, Zelda will have to fork over 10 rupees to the Business Scrub. He is running a business after all. That isn’t a high price to pay, but the cost is much worse for potions: 150 rupees each. Making potions is not cheap, but they can be major difference-makers as you journey about Hyrule in Echoes of Wisdom. Fortunately, there are a lot of good ways to hunt rupees, and it’s not difficult to acquire them quickly. If you want to make a few potions, you’ll need to do just that.

In Conclusion

In so many ways, the latest Zelda adventure is a perfect merger between the two eras and styles of the franchise. Potions have long been a part of the game, as Link has been able to buy them from vendors in so many different titles. Players have often used them to save themselves from certain death in key boss fights. Echoes of Wisdom potions bring that back while giving players the ability to make them with special effects just like food in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
