Echoes of Wisdom: Best Zelda Items to Copy

Echoes of Wisdom

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom grants players a phenomenal ability. Thanks to the Tri Rod, Princess Zelda can make copies of virtually anything. Fortunately, the game makes it clear what items can and should be echoed, so there’s little risk of needing something later and not having known to learn how to copy it. However, not all things are as useful as others. For starters, a rock is helpful at first but doesn’t compare to a Moblin echo, for example. With over 100 possible echoes, some of them are better than others.

The Best Echoes to Make in Echoes of Wisdom

Platboom

Perhaps the best vertical item in the game, the Platboom, which can be learned while completing the Gerudo Desert portion of the main quest, is extremely helpful. Whenever there’s a tall thing Princess Zelda needs to get to, the Platboom makes it so much easier to get up there. Instead of trying to use tables and boxes to move incrementally higher, the Platboom can take you up in a moment’s notice. It’s not an easy one to kill and learn, but it’s one of the best to get. In terms of “game-breaking” echoes that allow players to find shortcuts, this is one of the best.

This echo is one that can be made pretty early on. It’s one of the first enemies you can take on in Echoes of Wisdom and it’s one of the most useful. You can eventually upgrade it, but either way, it’s a powerful ally. While some enemies have limitations on how and when they can attack for Princess Zelda, the Sword Moblin is only restricted by time. The enemy can slash its sword at enemies with ease, making it one of the most straightforward echoes to use. When there’s an enemy you need to defeat, spawn in a couple of Sword Moblins and let them slash it away.

Bed

The bed is easily the best item to use in Echoes of Wisdom. It’s available almost instantly and will be useful throughout your entire playthrough. Do you need to get across a gap? The bed cand and will help. Do you need to earn back hearts without wasting food or using potions? The bed will do that, too. It’s the best way to get horizontal over space and it provides health. It really doesn’t get much better than that. The regeneration is admittedly slow, but it allows you to think through Zelda’s next moves and get hearts back for free. That’s very valuable.

In Conclusion

There are 127 echoes possible in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, so you have a wealth of options at your disposal. This mechanic is a phenomenal addition to the Zelda canon, and it makes this game an absolute treat to puzzle through. As expected, some of the items are more helpful than others. If you need to choose a few to remember to use more than others, it should probably be the Sword Moblin, Platboom, and bed.
