Bandai Namco and FromSoftware released a new update for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. The patch notes had a lot of quality-of-life changes most notable of which were the nerfs to the final boss of the DLC. The final boss Radhan, is titled by the community as the hardest boss that FromSoftware has ever created and these nerfs make the boss fight much more bearable. However, it remains an extremely challenging fight. Here is everything that was updated in the latest patch notes of Elden Ring.
Changes to Radhan
Radhan has been made significantly easier than he was before in Elden Ring. There have been a lot of changes in the patch notes. For starters, Radhan does not open up with his whirling gravity slam. This gives players time to buff up or summon without worrying about being hit. Another move that was changed was his cross-slash combo. It had an awkward timing to dodge before, requiring players to dodge perfectly and from the correct position. It is now much easier, and players can avoid the attack by just spamming the dodge button.
In the second phase of the fight, Miquella joins the battle and imbues Radhan’s attack with Holy damage. These Holy projectile attacks were annoying as they caused visual clutter and FPS drops. This has been improved after the patch and the fight features better FPS and lower light effects. The visibility has been greatly improved which was certainly needed.
Other than that, the damage of some of his attacks and combos has been reduced. The stamina damage of some attacks has also been lowered. The range of the Holy projectile attacks especially the nuke attack had its radius decreased. This allows the players to have ample time to get out of the range of the attack. A time window has also been added after the Bloodflame Slash attack allowing players to heal or get some damage in.
Weapon Arts & Attack Speed
The attack speed of the uncharged heavy attacks of different archetypes of the weapons in Elden Ring has been increased. Different Weapon Arts have also been buffed the notable of which are increasing the attack speed of Light and Dark. Dynastic Sickleplay has received some buffs. Devonia’s Vortex received more damage as well as increased Poise value.
The biggest buff in the patch notes, however, was given to Moon-and-Fire Stance as well as Rellana’s Cameo. Rellana’s Cameo is a talisman that increases the weapon damage after holding a certain stance. It has now been buffed to provide a 45 percent damage bonus from 15. It also now requires holding a stance for 1 second. Rellana’s Twinblades and its Ash of War were significantly buffed with these patch notes as well.
These pair of Twinblades have now better stats scaling at lower levels of Faith and Intelligence. The Ash of War of this weapon has also been increased as the magic projectile attacks now have a faster speed, more Poise damage, as well as Range. The Poise damage for the Fire attack was also increased significantly. Other changes included in the Patch Notes were some bug fixes as well as some PvP adjustments for Elden Ring.
