Elden Ring features a ton of exciting new weapons and with the recent launch of Shadow of the Erdtree DLCs, 100 more weapons have been added. Intelligence is also one of the most powerful stats in the game. It is mostly associated with Sorceries and some correct builds allow players to instantly delete bosses. Some great weapons require Intelligence stat to use and scale from it. Here we will go over the three best Intelligence weapons in both the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Death’s Poker
Death’s Poker is a Greatsword in Elden Ring and this archetype of the weapon is one of the best thanks to its moveset and damage output. This weapon’s damage is split between Physical and Magic. Physical damage scales with Dexterity and Strength and Magic damage scales with Intelligence. The main appeal of this weapon comes from its skill called Ghostflame Ignition.
This skill scales purely with Intelligence and it allows users to thrust forward with the weapon. Then players can follow up with a light attack to release a wave of Ghostflame which damages enemies inside. Players can also follow up with a heavy attack which causes a Ghostflame explosion. This explosion deals massive damage and covers a decent area.
Wing of Astel
Wing of Astel is a Curved Sword that is extremely popular thanks to their amazing and quick moveset. Its damage is split between Physical and Magic. Physical damage scales with Strength but mostly Dexterity and Magic damage scales with Intelligence. It has a unique heavy attack which allows the weapon to shoot Magic projectile which costs no FP. This heavy attack can be chained allowing players to throw multiple Magic projectiles that scale purely of Intelligence.
The light and heavy attacks of this weapon already make it a good Intelligence weapon but it also has a skill called Nebula. It is a purely Intelligence skill that allows the player to release a purple mist in a wide arc. This mist explodes after dealing high Magic damage. This skill is amazing against bosses as it deals high stance damage breaking poises easily.
Dark Moon Greatsword
Dark Moon Greatsword is one of the most iconic weapons in the Souls game and has appeared in every Soulsborne game. However, this weapon in Elden Ring is probably its strongest version. It is a Greatsword that is obtainable after completing Ranni’s questline. It deals Physical and Magic damage where Physical scales mostly with Dexterity and Magic scales with Intelligence. It also deals Frost damage which is one of the best debuffs in the game.
The strength of this weapon comes from its skill called Moonlight Greatsword. It charges up the weapon for low FP cost. After charging up, heavy attacks with the weapon deal ranged projectile attacks. These ranged attacks travel very far, deal extremely high damage, and deal high stance damage as well. It is just extremely easy to use and without a doubt the best Legendary Armament in the game and Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
