Disclaimer: Everything here are leaks and is subject to change. This article will be updated as new information becomes available and the release approaches.
Abilities and Skills
Evelyn is a Fire Support Agent. As she attacks she will deal Physical and Fire Damage. Her leaked kits state on the 5th Hit, the enemy will be entangled in a rope and Evelyn will enter her Fiber Roped state. Her Fiber Roped state is part of her Core Skill: “When she enters Fiber Roped state, her Crit Rate (CR) increases by 24%. When she exits the state, this buff will persist for 10s. When Evelyn exits the field under the state, she will perform an instance of Special: Weak Binding.”
Evelyn will passively get a 24% increase in her CR. Where it will then lead into her Special. To utilize the Branch 1st Hit and 2nd Hit, you must be in the Fiber Roped State, in both moves she will cut the wire she ropes her enemies in causing Fire Damage and consuming her Branch Attack Energy. On a stack of 3 Technical she will consume all 3 and the Branch Attacks will turn into a Chain Attack.
Her Rope attacks are similar to Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail. As she will turn as they explode trigging down the line. Her skills state that the enemies will be pulled into the attack, so it seems like not a lot is going to be able to run from her attacks.
Normal | Evelyn will do 5 hits in her combos, dealing Physical and Fire damage. If the 5th attack hits, the enemy will be connected by a rope and Evelyn enters the Fiber Roped state.
Technical: When Evelyn deals damage with her moves, she gains Branch Attack Energy. When Evelyn uses her branch attacks to deal damage 2 times, she gains a point of Technical. Branch 1st Hit: Hold Attack + Special or hold Special when under the Fiber Roped state to trigger: Use her dagger and wire to cut the enemy, dealing fire damage and consuming 50 Branch Attack Energy. If Evelyn has 3 points of Technical, all of it will be consumed and this attack will be turned into a Chain Attack when used. Branch 2nd hit: When using Branch 1st Hit Continue to hold attack, special, special to trigger: Use her dagger and wire to cut the enemy, dealing fire damage and consuming 50 Branch Attack Energy. If Evelyn has 3 points of Technical, all of it will be consumed and this attack will be turned into a Chain Attack when used |
Special (Not in Fiber Roped State) | When not in the Fiber Roped state: Press special to hook onto an enemy and dash kick them, dealing fire damage. The main target will be connected via rope and she enters the Fiber Roped state. |
Special: Weak Binding (In the Fiber Roped State) | When under the Fiber Roped State, press special to activate:
The surrounding enemies will be drawn into the roped target, and Evelyn detonates dealing fire damage. When using this attack, she can dodge. When successfully dodging, Evelyn gains massive amounts of Branch Attack Energy. Gain increased interrupt resistance when using this attack. When triggering this attack, the normal attack button can be pressed to cancel the detonation and instead perform the 3rd hit of the normal combo. |
EX Special: Strong Binding (In the Fiber Roped State) | When energy is sufficient, press special to activate: When under the Fiber Roped state, press special to activate:
The surrounding enemies will be drawn into the roped target, and Evelyn detonates dealing fire damage. When using this attack, she can dodge. When successfully dodging, gain massive amounts of Branch Attack Energy. Gain increased interrupt resistance when using this attack. When triggering this attack, the normal attack button can be pressed to cancel the detonation and instead perform the 3rd hit of the normal combo. If her Branch Attack Energy meter isn’t full, then she will continue to consume SP to gain more Branch Attack Energy. |
Ultimate | When decibels are maxed, press Ultimate to activate: Use her rope to detonate the area in front to deal fire damage; After using this move, she takes off her jacket for the rest of the battle and enters Full Force Mode in which she will always have 1 Technical Point. Ultimate uses after this will not change her state but instead, give her a Technical Point after dealing damage. |
Mindscape
Evelyn’s leaked kit Mindscape makes her into a monster. M1 will allow her to ignore 8% of her enemy’s defense, and even allow her to start with most of her Ultimate if not already having it immediately. M2 will allow her to gain a shield to 10% of her maxed health while allowing her to have a 40% increase to her Crit Damage. M6 just overalls buffs Evelyn and allows her to increase her damage by 375%, even if it is for only 12 hits, just by using her Chain Attack or Ultimate.
M1 | When Evelyn enters the field, she starts with 1500 Decibels. When enemies are roped in, they gain a Marking. When she attacks enemies with Markings, she will ignore 8% of their defense. If she triggers her Weak Binding or Strong Binding Special Attacks, this marking will be spread to all targets hit. Each stack lasts for 10s. |
M2 | When Evelyn triggers a Chain Attack or Ultimate, she gains a shield equal to 10% of her max HP. When Evelyn has a shield, her Crit Damage increases by 40%. |
M3 | Adds 2 to all Skills |
M4 | When she uses her branch attacks, the Branch Attack Energy will be refunded. This effect has a 25s cooldown. |
M5 | Adds 2 to all Skills |
M6 | When Evelyn triggers a Chain Attack or Ultimate, she enters an empowered state, where whenever she hits an enemy with her normal attacks, a follow-up rope attack will be made, dealing 375% damage, and is seen as QTE damage. This effect lasts up to 30s, and will also end after 16 follow-up attacks are made. |
W-Engine
Evelyn’s W-Engine is to be taken with a grain of salt, as her animations are always changing but the stats behind the curtain and the stats on the Engines are always changing by the time of an Agents release. Her Signature Engine is as the following:
“For Attack Characters, the following effects can be triggered: Critical Damage increased by 40%/46%/52%/58%/64%. When the wearer enters the battlefield, and activates Combined Skills or Finishing Skills, the fire damage caused will be increased by 18%/23%/26%/29%, with a max stack of 2, lasting for 30 seconds and the duration will be refreshed on repeated triggers.”
This is already making Evelyn more of a monster than she already was. With a CD increase and a Fire DMG increase, it will make her ruthless on the battlefield. But as another reminder, all of this is to be taken with a grain of salt as it can and will change later on.
Team Comps
As Evelyn isn’t out yet, I won’t give exact details on the teams. Her Passive requires a Support or Stun Agent on the field, then her Chain Attack and Ultimate is increased by 25%. If her Crit Rate is greater the 80% her Chain Attack and Ultimate is increased by a further 25%. Lighter is an obvious choice, with Lucy being an optional support for a pure Fire Attribute team. Soukaku will be good for massive buff along with Ceasar, for physical damage. Astra Yao, a Support Agent releasing with Evelyn will be a viable option, to be part of the team.
Zenless Zone Zero is currently getting prepared for its 1.4 release with, the long-awaited Miyabi and Harumasa arriving.
