Where to Find Dogmeat
Dogmeat is found quite early in Fallout 4 and is one of the most powerful and useful companions. To find the canine companion, players can simply progress through the campaign until they reach the area of Red Rocket Truck Stop. The Red Rocket Truck Stop is a gas station that is present in the Northwest Area of The Commonwealth. After crossing the bridge and leaving the houses, players can find The Commonwealth area to the South of Sanctuary.
After finding Dogmeat, players can simply interact with him and to make it your companion there are no special relationship criteria. Like every other companion in the game, players can order this furry companion to do certain tasks for them. It can explore a certain area, make players aware of nearby enemies as well as help during combat by attacking them.
Interactions
Dogmeat is a loyal German Shepherd and loves the player unconditionally. In-game actions of the player do not have any effect on the player’s relationship with the canine companion. It also comes with a perk called Attack Dog which must be leveled up and unlocked using perk points. This allows the fluffy companion to attack enemies during combats.
Players can also dismiss Dogmeat as a companion in Fallout 4. To find him again, players must visit the Dog Houses that are present throughout the open world. The canine companion also has an intrinsic ability and he might randomly detect nearby enemies or objects when exploring. After detecting, he also growls and moves to the location where that enemy or object is present.
