Before the new season dropped, however, Epic Games threw an event, the abbreviated Chapter 2 Remix, which was an in-game concert. Setting a new record, the finale event became the largest in-game concert in Fortnite’s history. The artists performing at the finale concert included Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and the late Juice WRLD. Typically, Epic Games resumes operations by releasing their latest seasons around 6 a.m. ET.
Considering past experiences, however, delays were likely to occur. Nonetheless, this time would be different as Fortnite returned online at 4:26 a.m. Epic Games also announced on social media that the downtime for version 33.00 had concluded, making its gameplay available again. Furthermore, Fortnite teased players with an opportunity to become Ronins, masterless samurais from feudal Japan. Likewise, new vehicles, including the Rogue Bike and the Void Burn, can be accessed to navigate the island.
The first season of Chapter 6 introduces several new locations for players to explore. For starters, the Warrior’s Watch is a place where players can battle lesser demons to test their combat skills. To compare, players can hone their abilities at Flooded Frogs, which serves as a training ground for combat duty. While Seaport City is densely populated, the commercial district promises a unique urban experience. Lastly, Canyon Crossing is a cliffside getaway, providing a tranquil oasis amidst the island’s chaos. Alongside these new environments, players can access various exclusive skins, including Nyanja and Baymax. Later in the season, however, players can get The Godzile Evolved Outfit and cause massive damage throughout the island.
Epic Games announced the conclusion of Chapter 6, Season 1: Hunters will be on February 21st at 2:00 a.m. EST, which would end its current season. Besides the season finale date, they had also made a significant announcement regarding Fortnite’s maps. In addition to creating a new map, players can also expect the return of the original map. As previously revealed in November, Epic Games will bring back the original map on December 6th, delighting gamers from the early days of the battle royale with a sense of nostalgia.
