Fortnite, one of the most giant games to take over globally, beat their record! Their previous record occurred in 2020, when an event attracted approximately 12.3 million players. That event was the first time players could tune in to see Travis Scott in Fortnite, and it was a much-anticipated in-game concert. Today, that record was blown out of the water, and over 14 million players logged on to see this next concert. Some people were in the game for the experience today, and others watched the event live-streamed on Twitch and YouTube. This is the highest-attended concert Fortnite has hosted to date, and there will be an encore at 8 pm EST.
Fortnite Features Four Big Artists
This concert event features four very well-known music artists who will bring the noise! The lineup includes Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and the late rapper Juice WRLD. This event brings attention to a new era for Fortnite, sharing not one main musical artist but multiple! The first-time featured song by Juice WRLD known as “Empy Out Your Pockets” will not only be a first for Fortnite, but it will be an actual world premiere! This means that players from all over the globe will be tuning in and hearing this song for the first time! Many long-dedicated fans of Snoop Dogg of all ages and generations will also be thrilled about this performance!
Eminem has been making waves in the music world lately, and this will not be his first appearance or concert with Fortnite. It will be the first time the rapper will perform in a multi-artist concert digitally. Ice Spice has also taken the industry by storm, and this will be her first live concert with Fortnite. Many new fans will be tuning in, and I am willing to bet many gamers will be wearing exclusive Fortnite skins to match their favorite artists tonight! This week, a free bundle was offered to honor the late rapper Juice WRLD for fans who logged in. No matter who your favorite of these four may be, you are definitely going to experience a great show!

Fortnite fans have never been afraid to show up in masses to show support for this wildly growing game. The numbers never disappoint, from music concerts to in-game story events and even to launching old events for new gamers to experience! When the Marvel event happened in 2020, bringing in the then-current season finale, a whopping 15.3 million people were in the game. This was not a concert, but it still shows a remarkable number of players who attended the event. This did not include players viewing on Twitch or YouTube, only the number of players logged in!
The largest event that Epic Games has mentioned to date was when the release of last year’s OG Season launched. An estimated 44 million players logged in within 24 hours to take part in this event. Once again, this does not include those that were streaming in from different platforms. I believe it is safe to say that Fortnite has an army of supporters who thoroughly enjoy the game and range in age. While many different games are earning many different awards, Fortnite has stood still on its own personal hill, or should I say island, and has continued to grow in engagement and popularity.
