Forza Motorsport Receives Exciting 1-Year Anniversary Update

Forza Motorsports

Forza Motorsport is expected to release update 13 around the one-year anniversary of the game. This is a huge update with new tracks, free cars, and more. The improvements coming to the game are impressive, though the base game was already a hit. For the moment, the release date for the update is October 14th, and is available on the Xbox Game Pass. Fans of this classic racing series have a lot to look forward to.

What’s New In Forza Motorsport

A new game mode called Drift Mode is fairly self-explanatory, and it should be a popular feature among fans.  This includes a new Best Drift scoring option for the highest single continuous drift score (even across multiple laps) in addition to Best Lap and Total Score. The update will feature a new track called Sunset Peninsula, a fictional map based on the west coast of Florida. Sunset Peninsula has been featured in previous installments and has a beautiful landscape. New options for practicing and qualifying for private multiplayer races are included in the update as well.

Three new and free cars are included in the update. The first car is the 2024 Ford #25 Mustang RTR, a slick and fast car that makes it a valuable asset. Second is the 2024 Ford #88 Mustang RTR, a similar model to the previous car. The last car is the 2024 Ford #130 Mustang RTR, all 3 cars have been available to purchase with in-game credits but this update makes them unrestricted.

Collision Severity Added

Improvements in the Forza Race Regulations Penalty System include the severity of a collision in UI notifications, replacing the ‘Avoidable contact’ messaging. Max penalties are also included to avoid players getting over-penalized in the past. The off-track notifications now display either Small Time Gain, Large Time Gain, or Max Time Gain. Time penalties vary based on multipliers from previous penalties.

Forza Motorsport has put clear effort into this update, year two is bound to be an improvement. Fans have every right to be excited for update 13 in Forza Motorsport, the realism is only getting better.
