Helldivers 2 player IronS1ghts may have just cracked open the next galactic front because they might have posted the first glimpse of the elusive Automaton homeworld: New Cyberstan.
Up until now, New Cyberstan has been the stuff of legend. Players who spotted it on the galactic map couldn’t interact with it, let alone drop into it. It was a ghost planet. But thanks to this new screenshot, we now have visual confirmation that something is brewing. Most in-mission assets don’t seem to be loaded yet, but you can clearly see a plain, placeholder biome. It’s minimal and barren—likely a stand-in while the devs work on the real deal behind the scenes.

Naturally, the Helldivers community is in theory-mode overdrive.
Some believe the devs are setting up a techno-nightmare biome, a fully mechanized world where every trace of organic life has been stripped away. Others are dreaming of a dystopian megacity, complete with rusted skyscrapers, conveyor belts of death, and some absurdly overpowered Automaton boss just waiting to destroy democracy (again).
There’s also speculation that this could mark the beginning of a three-faction front, similar to how the original Helldivers handled win/lose scenarios between bugs, bots, and cyborgs. If that’s the case, Helldivers 2 players might get the chance to take part in full-blown campaign shifts based on which faction gains the upper hand.
So, When’s the Update?
That’s the million Super Credit question, isn’t it?
Right now, there’s no official word from the Helldivers 2 devs, but with leaks like this getting attention fast, it’s safe to say something big is on the horizon. Could we be prepping for a new event? A surprise drop? Another massive war effort with community-wide implications?
Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: Helldivers 2 players are ready to bring liberty and orbital bombardments to New Cyberstan—and we are firmly glued to our democracy-issued seats.
