“The time has come,” the Walrus said, “talk of many things.” In this case, we are discussing the leaks for patch 3.3 of Honkai: Star Rail. We’ve already had the drip marketing for both characters. Now it’s time to delve into their kits, as well as some other things to expect for the patch. Remember, though, all of this is subject to change. Star Rail patches go through many versions before release.
About Honkai: Star Rail Leaks
All leaks are subject to change. As such, a full, in-depth, definitive analysis of a character, light cone, relic, or event would be ill-advisable at this time. To that end, I’ll be covering the base-level premise of each character so that you can make a moderately informed decision on which character(s) you want to prepare for.
If you want a full guide for a character, check out my work here when the patch releases.
Hyacine and Her Auto-Healing Plushie
Presumably the first character to be released in patch 3.3, Hyacine is a Remembrance character who works in conjunction with her Memosprite, Ica, to heal her allies. Their main Stats are HP and SPD.
Hyacine’s Healing comes from her Skill and her Ultimate. ICA’s, on the other hand, is a little more complex. Firstly, when Ica’s turn comes around, it will use its Skill to heal allies. But that is not where the bulk of its Healing comes from.
When allies (except Ica) lose HP, at the start of any target’s turn (I’m assuming this means ally or enemy), Ica consumes a percentage of its HP to heal the ally (or allies) who lost HP. Effectively, as it is now, when a party member loses HP, before the next unit (friend or foe) goes, Ica will drain its HP to restore the aforementioned party member’s HP.
As of now, it is unclear if this can affect multiple party members (it seems like it could). It is also unknown if the HP drain will trigger multiple times if Ica Heals multiple party members.
Cipher, the Combat Multi-Tool
It would be shorter to list what Cipher doesn’t do. As of now (and remember, subject to change) she can increase her CRIT Rate based on her SPD, Advancer her Turn, shred Enemy DEF, reduce Enemy DMG dealt, increase her own ATK, deal True DMG, perform a Follow-Up ATK, and use her Technique in Simulated Universe modes to, potentially, obtain consumables 50 times a day.
The only real downside to her is that, as of now, her Stats are rather spread out. She needs a good amount of ATK, CRIT DMG, Hit Effect Rate, a massive amount of SPD, and probably a little extra CRIT Rate too. Min-Max will be bothersome, but at least you don’t have to worry as much about getting useless Stats. Again, this is all subject to change.
Light Cone: May Rainbows Remain in the Sky
Increases SPD and drains the entire party’s HP when the wearer uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate. The HP drained is tallied, and when the wearer’s Memosprite attacks, it deals Additional DMG based on the tallied HP drain. This effect is then reset. Furthermore, when the Memosprite uses its Skill, it increases the DMG received by all enemies.
Light Cone: Lies, Aflutter in the Wind
Increases SPD and has a base chance to inflict a Debuff on an enemy when they are attacked by the wearer. The Debuff decreases the enemy target’s DEF. Also, if the wearer’s SPD is high enough, inflict another Debuff that also decreases the enemy target’s DEF.
Cavern Relic: Warrior Goddess of Daythunder
The 2-piece effect increased SPD. The 4-Piece effect increases the wearer’s SPD and CRIT DMG after they and their Memosprite provide Healing. – Hmm, I wonder who this could be for . . .
Cavern Relic: Captain Over Cursed Waves
The 2-piece effect increased CRIT DMG. The 4-Piece effect gives the wearer a stacking ATK buff when they are targeted by an ally’s Skill. So, when your Support character Buffs or Heals your DPS character, they gain bonus ATK.
Event Overview
The Main Event is Return of the Legend of the Galactic Baseballer: Demon King. The full gameplay is best experienced in-game but, effectively, you gain “weapons” to help you fight waves of monsters. There will probably be some mission/long stretches of dialogue interwoven into the event. After all, it is the main one.
The secondary event in the second half of the patch is called (as of now) Trace ‘n’ Drift. It’s a racing game. Probably like Mario Kart but we’ll have to wait and see for confirmation.
