It Has My Face: New Killer Clone Horror Game Unveiled

It Has My Face is a new horror game that pairs an indie studio with a horror behemoth. Behavior Interactive, developer of the classic horror game Dead by Daylight, has partnered with indie developer NightByte Games on the new “paranoid procedural nightmare”. The game currently has a demo available, and will be released on Steam for early access later this year as well. With the strong pairing backing the project, It Has My Face should be an excellent foray into cloning horror, something players have to experience to truly understand.

Nightbyte Games is an indie studio, and the game is very clearly an indie game at its core. Being backed by the Dead By Daylight studio, though, gives it street cred in the gaming industry. The Steam Page describes It Has My Face for interested players. “Kill your clone before it kills YOU! In this first-person horror roguelite game, experience true paranoia as you hide, hunt, and try to eliminate your double. Fight to survive as you unravel this terrifying tale of clones and biological horrors!”

The art style for It Has My Face is quaint and almost gives off the feel of Minecraft, but getting past the art provides players with a great horror adventure. Taking on a roguelike structure, players will be searching for their clone in an effort to kill it. The maps randomize each attempt, with the opportunity to find weapons, traps, and ammo as you venture through the game. New tactics will continue to update as you progress further through the game.

As the Steam Page briefly explains:

Experience True Paranoia
Your clone is hiding among the crowd, ready to kill you when you’re at your most vulnerable. Search for weapons, be aware of your limited ammo, and carefully examine the hundreds of faces around you to identify your clone. Make sure to watch your back – danger lurks around every corner!

Threats, Enemies, and Biological Horrors
Progress through this roguelite experience, unlocking new tactics to survive each threat you encounter. As you advance through the story, new dangers, enemies, and challenges wait to test you.

Along with the It Has My Face demo, there is also a trailer available for fans of the game to watch and get a better understanding of what to expect.

Final Thoughts

For those who enjoy roguelike structure, It Has My Face may be a perfect new game to check out. There is nothing entirely novel about the game, but the theme and concept behind it build suspense and paranoia in users that can truly pull you in. That Behavior Interactive is backing the game ensures that, while it may not be every user’s cup of tea, it will be a well-designed game. Indie horror games have been taking the world by storm, and hopefully, this will be another game to join the list. It Has My Face will be out for Early Access later this year on Steam, though it is unclear if any other platforms will pick it up.
