New Update in Repo Has Semiwork Adding Vehicles That Can Store Loot?
Repo is a Lethal Company-like game that has cultivated a fandom of gamers to continuously come back, especially since Semiwork just loves to keep adding things to the game. Semiwork has recently announced another new update, the first one in 2026, and things are looking pretty exciting. Here’s what Semiwork has added in the upcoming update to Repo.

Semiwork has recently released a new devlog video on their official YouTube channel, announcing new updates to Repo. As per Semiwork fashion, the video starts with a hilariously corny monologue from one of the devs, and his apparent obsession with hot cocoa. He goes on to introduce some of the new updates that Semiwork has been working on and what players can expect when the new update is released.
The first update that he introduces is the cosmetics update. He doesn’t divulge much about what kinds of cosmetic changes players will be able to make; however, it looks promising and is a fun addition to Repo. Semiwork will also be adding more items, including vehicles. Yes, players will be able to traverse the different maps available in vehicles called Semiscooters. The shop will also be getting a visual overhaul, looking more grimy and with more things to interact with.
Vehicles Can Store Loot?

One of the major things about this update is the addition of the Semiscooter. The semiscooter looks like a motorized bike. The first edition of the Semiscooter was a two-seater; however, the devs have expressed difficulty in making the two-seater work smoothly in the game. Here’s what the devs discussed about the development of the Semiscooter in the video while they showcase the Semiscooter in-game:
So, is it true that you have removed the two-seater option on the vehicles?
I had to because I couldn’t figure out the physics. It turns out that like the physics of a tandem bike… you know? There’s a reason why people don’t go on tandem bikes… because it’s hard… to do.
The devs proceed to showcase how the bike moves, the fact that you can use it to hit enemies and your teammates, and how fast you can ride the Semiscooter. Not only that, devs have added the ability to store loot in the Semiscooter. They explain that you can put anything of value in the map in a compartment on the back of the scooter, including monster souls, no matter how big they are.
The Semiscooter can also only hold up to $20,000 worth of loot, which is great if you’re running low on space in your regular carts. One of the funniest uses of the Semiscooter is the ability to hit and kill enemies with it. It staggers them so you can hit them repeatedly until they die; however, the Semiscooter will also take damage and can explode if it ultimately breaks. The devs have also shown that you can hit and hurt your teammates with it, so do be careful when driving them.
Expected Release of the New Update
The video did not announce a release date for the new update; however, given the time frames of when Semiwork usually posts a devlog to when an update actually releases, players shouldn’t wait too long for it. The game is still in early access; however, according to some people, Semiwork is expected to launch the 1.0 full release of the game this year.
This hasn’t yet been confirmed; however, on the official Repo Steam page, Semiwork only planned to have the game in early access for around a year and a half, and that time limit is almost coming to an end. Fans of the game are pretty excited for all the new updates, and I can’t wait to experience them as well.
