In a move that feels almost as supernatural as their games, Tarsier Studios (Little Nightmares) has announced that their upcoming co-op horror nightmare fuel, REANIMAL, has officially gone GOLD! And they didn’t just meet the deadline—they smashed it by a solid two months!!!

For those who don’t speak developer jargon, “going gold” means development is done. The code is locked, the master copy is ready to be printed onto discs (or uploaded to digital storefronts), and the team can finally take a nap. Imagine hitting a deadline two months before the due date. This suggests a level of confidence in releasing a polished game without dealing with bugs.

If y’all are a bit skeptical about the early completion notice, there is a playable demo available right now on Steam, PS5, and Xbox. The demo throws you right into the start of the game, introducing the orphaned siblings in the “Mill” and “Trainyard” levels. The co-op element adds a new layer of tension because you have to worry about your partner messing up a stealth section and getting you both turned into lunch.
