The 18th Attic, Steelkrill Studio, Feb. 2026 release, spot the anomalies to escape a haunted, time-looping attic, dark secrets, support animal, cat, polaroid camera

The 18th Attic: Trapped In An Attic-Wait! What Does the 18 Mean!!? Anomalies?!? Loops!?! Tell Me!

Look! No one wants to go up to the attic to get a single box of decorations, but no one wants to get whacked by a chanclas either. Well, Steelkrill Studio is launching The 18th Attic in 2026, and they decided to take that conundrum and trap you in a haunted time loop. It’s a nice and fairly clean-looking attic, but why are the mannequins up here so… mobile?

Steelkrill Studio’s The 18th Attic has you play as a guy stuck in an attic who is caught in a mysterious loop with a cute, furry baby at your side and a lighter. You gotta get out of there before the mannequins (and whatever else is lurking up here) get a hold of you. You need to find all the anomalies within the attic so you and your cat can get the heck out of dodge.

I’ve Got a Camera, And I AM NOT Afraid To Flash You!… With The Camera!

The problem is that not all the anomalies are in plain sight. Some are hidden behind a veil, and if you don’t see it, you end up back where you started. For The 18th Attic, the devs adopted a Fatal Frame mechanic, giving you a Polaroid camera. A picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, a thousand differences. You need to use the camera to catch the changes you can’t see with your eyes only. Just don’t go snapping everything. You have limited cartilages, so use them sparingly.

I’ve Got a Cat With Spook Radar and Danger Mittens!

As the environment twists and the supernatural encounters start draining your will and sanity, fear not, my fellow prisoners. Your cat isn’t just a pretty kitty because when you pet them, they restore your mental state. The cat also warns you of danger before you see it (like in all horror movies, but this time you actually listen to their hisses). The critical paranormal ghost hunter is your emotional support animal that doubles as a ghost detector. I should invite them to a game of Phasmophobia.

Final Thoughts: Time-Trapping Attic or Crowded Family Reunion?…Attic

Steelkrill Studio is scheduled to launch The 18th Attic on Feb. 2, 2026. It will be available on the PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. If y’all have been on Observation Duty or made it to Exit 8, might I suggest something a bit more at home? But, I swear, though, that if anything happens to my furry baby, I won’t be trapped in there with them. They’re gonna be trapped in there with me, and they ain’t never gonna leave.
