How to Get the Blessed Mirelurk Eggs in Challenging Fallout 76

Mirelurk Eggs are in Fallout 76, a game that serves as a compelling prequel to the Fallout series and offers a unique gameplay experience. Set in the year 2102, twenty-five years after a devastating nuclear war, the game takes you to the secluded fallout shelter Vault 76. This shelter was built to ensure survival and the eventual rebuilding of America.

As Reclamation Day dawns, you step out into the sun, the real sun, to re-colonize what was once West Virginia but is now a Wasteland. And there, outside the massive vault door, lies something special: Mirelurk Eggs. In this vast Wasteland, there’s a great way to farm it, so here’s how.

Fallout 76 Has the Mirelurk Eggs and Hatchlings

In 76, you find that humanity has not only suffered from the nuclear war but also a plague. There are more survivors than just yourself. You will find BoS, Crater Raiders, Foundation Settlers, and plenty of hostile NPCs who have it out for you, like the Blood Eagles and Mothman.

While you can immerse yourself in the brotherhood quests and gear grind, every player knows the value of having the best buffs in the game. And for that, you need the Mirelurk Eggs. These eggs, available in two types in the game, are a game-changer when it comes to enhancing your gameplay. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to find them.

Easter Eggs Are Easier to Find than Mirelurk Eggs

The process of obtaining Mirelurk Eggs is through Mirelurk Egg Hatching, where you get the baby Mirelurks, and you interact with them once hatched. The Harvestable ones can be used for recipes, bringing you those long-coveted buffs. There’s a thrill in the hunt for Mirelurk Eggs, and it’s not just because they’re a rare find. Each server holds a mere 45 harvestable eggs, making them a highly sought-after commodity.

With a limited shelf life of just over an hour or two, these eggs are a challenge to obtain and a testament to your gaming skills. Go with the Butcher’s Bounty card with Backwoodsman #1 or Green Thumb with Backwoodsman #4. They go with the card Good with Salt, Thru-Hiker, or Plans, Backpack refrigerated mod 60%, and Grocer’s Backpack mod 90%.

Mirelurk Eggs!

Remember, don’t shoot around them when you are about to get the harvestable eggs! They break, and you will lose your meal. When you come to the nest site, your best bet is to farm. Run through the hatched ones, not looting the eggs and kite them. Once the hatchlings are away from the nests, take them out and return to loot. Here are the best locations to do so.

Kanawha County Cemetery Next to the Ohio River

When you spawn in, look to the West and head out that way until you make it to the edge of the river. Then, turn to the south following the river ban, where you will find two egg nests. Keep going past the dock and boats; you will see another egg nest to your right between some rocks at the last dock.

The Grafton Dam

Use the fast travel point and go to the rusty van to your right next to the dam. Use the van to look from and face north. There will be two large pipes for the dam, which will be your destination. Head into the left one, and at its end, turn south, walk around the left side of the upright pipe, and open the hatch you see. Go through and turn to your left, and the nest is at the end.

Highland Marsh

Go from the spawn location on this one, turn north, and make your way to the water. Again, you will have to kite the Mirelurks and Queen before harvesting. The good news is that there are five nests along the rock line. Check next to the skeleton, a dead body, and in the duffle bag. When you get the skeleton, look to the west; there is your next one. Use the skeleton again and face north. Head north and hiding behind the tree is another nest.

Mire’s Eye

Here, you start with the red door to enter the Mire’s Eye. Like the other eggs, they are around the edge of the water. Just walk around, and you will find some, and there are two more in the orange carts in the back room. Here are a few other locations where you can find the Mirelurk eggs:

  • Skyline Valley at the Hemlock Springs Dump
  • Abandoned Convoy
  • Event Swarm of Suitors

Now that you have the locations, good luck farming and ordering construct Mirelurk cages from Wasteland Workshop, cooking up the Mirelurk cake, and more.
