Strategies
Iron Fist is all about moving constantly. Because of the potential to do massive damage, he is often a priority target for the opposing team. If the opposing team corners you, sending you back to respawn doesn’t take much. With so many movement abilities, it isn’t hard to continually reposition yourself to stay alive. From there, it is all about mastering the sequencing of his moves to do the most damage possible.
Even as a duelist, Iron Fist can hang with the vanguards. His ability to reduce damage taken while increasing damage dealt allows him to stay in fights longer than opponents expect. The biggest issue in mastering this character is making sure everything is done at precisely the right moment. For many frontline characters, one wrong move doesn’t spell death because of increased health. For this character, being off by a second can mean starting all over.
Final Thoughts
Iron Fist takes a lot of time to master but can be one of the most rewarding characters to play. There is no greater feeling than punching your way through an enemy front line or chasing down an annoying backline character. Time your abilities right, and Shou-Lao will look kindly on you for your efforts as the Immortal Iron Fist.
