Karma: The Dark World takes place in a dystopian East Germany in 1984 when society is ruled by the Leviathan Corporation. With the help of mass surveillance, class rules society, mind-altering drugs, and the promise of Utopia, Leviathan holds its iron grip on societyPlayers take on the role of Daniel McGovern, a Roam Agent for Leviathan’s Thought Bureau. They will be tasked with getting into individuals minds to investigate crimes and uncover secrets hidden before reporting their findings back to Leviathan. Of course, things are not what they seem as the story goes on.

This game is a story-based psychological thriller that explores themes like family, love, loss, and control. What begins as a run-of-the-mill investigation evolves into an experience full of espionage, betrayal, and an abundance of secrets. With each and every revelation, players get closer to the truth or further into madness. Karma: The Dark World challenges players to maintain their sense of identity as reality and delusion become blurred together.

Exploring the Immersive Visuals & Sound

Karma: The Dark World is powered by Unreal Engine 5. Pollard Studio uses advanced features like Lumen and Nanite to deliver quality environments for the players to explore. The environments range from the dark and ominous streets of East Germany to the realms of the human psyche. High-quality motion-capture performances animate the charactersand the visuals deliver a richly immersive experience for horror fans to enjoy.

To add to the graphics, the game also features an original soundtrack that combines orchestra and original music. Created in collaboration with Dolby Atmos, the audio was created to draw players deeper into the world of the game and heighten the emotional impact of every scene.
