In the darkest corners of Deadlock, this lady goes by the name Geist and is a fusion of ghostly elegance with raw energy. With spectral powers and cunning strategy, she’s a leading lady on the battlefield, shifting the balance of any encounter with an otherworldly aura. To be able to realize Lady Geist’s potential fully, one would need to use a build that amplifies not just one’s strengths but covers her weaknesses.
Strategy to Fight with Lady Geist
With Lady Geist, the true potential of her abilities in Deadlock is fully realized when you apply a strategy to it that takes full advantage of each ability’s strengths and synergizes them into powerful combinations. The following is one step-by-step approach to using these abilities together.
Engage Malice
Start with Malice, which applies stacks of Malice on your target. This is a blood shard that launches forward, slowing enemies and giving you great amplification to deal damage against them. This will soften up opponents and create the playground needed for using your other abilities. Spend points on upgrading Malice because it will make this ability even more brutal:
- Level 2: Adds +40 health to the damage, making each stack more impactful.
- Level 3: Launches 6 blood shards, increasing the number of stacks you can apply and enhancing the slow effect.
Apply Life Drain
Once applied to a target with Malice, feel free to use Life Drain. You’ll create a tether that will siphon health off them and onto you, healing yourself in the process. This also benefits from the Malice stacks by amplifying the damage they take. Upgrade Life Drain to receive the following benefits:
- Level 1: Empower for greater damage per second to siphon more health.
- Level 2: Increase the length of the drain; it will increase the time you can keep healing and dealing damage inside.
- Level 3: Silences the enemy while draining his health.
Use Soul Exchange
Soul Exchange swaps your health with that of an enemy in dire situations. It is probably the most powerful ability in Lady Geist’s arsenal. When applied with Malice and Life Drain, the tide of a battle would surely change. Soul Exchange will gain upgraded effects:
- Level 1: Reduced cooldown allows for more frequent use of it.
- Level 2: The minimum health percentage set on enemies lowers, which makes executing the swap much easier.
- Level 3: Increased firing rate, and spirit resistance for 8 seconds after casting; which will enable your offense and defense during and after the health exchange.
Use Essence Bomb
If Lady Geist gets weakened from enemy Malice, Life Drain, and perhaps Soul Exchange, use Essence Bomb to blow them away. This instantly does damage, this bomb-if upgraded leaves a foul smear in the ground that poisons and further hurts enemies that remain caught within its area. Upgrade to:
- Level 1: Increase bomb radius
- Level 2: Increase bomb damage.
- Level 3: Attach a damage-over-time effect to further pressure the enemy after the initial explosion.
Lady Geist Ability Breakdown for Maximum Impact
Begin with Malice, a basic attack that applies stacks and debuff. Then with Life Drain, you will further weaken the target and heal yourself in the process. Follow up with the Soul Exchange that will give you health swapping with additional bonuses. Use Essence Bomb for high burst damage, leaving toxic damage afterward.

Additional Tips
Position Lady Geist’s line of sight for Life Drain. She will cause enemy players’ movement to slow down. You can also time a Soul Exchange for health recovery or capitalizing on weakened opponents. Placing an Essence Bomb in an area is perfect for crowd control. The toxins can push enemies into disadvantageous positions. In doing so, one can capitalize on the full potential of Lady Geist in efficiently bringing down enemies and controlling the battlefield.
