Lethal Company Emerging After 4 Months Thanks To R.E.P.O.

Lethal Company

Hold onto your helmets, fellow warehouse gremlins! After nearly four months of radio silence, Lethal Company is officially crawling back out of the void. And what’s brought this about? Well, let’s just say the devs been playing the competition. Yep, you read that right!

The beloved co-op horror game that had us all screaming, looting, and “accidentally” feeding our friends to a Thumper (RIP) hasn’t had a major update since December 2024. Fans everywhere were starting to worry that the project was growing cold. Plot twist inbound! Zeekerss just announced that updates are back on the menu, and R.E.P.O. may be the reason why!

Inspiration Strikes…From The Competition?!

After 4 months without an update, Lethal Company is back in business after its creator was “inspired” by playing Steam competitor Repo | GamesRadar+

In a twist that’s always lovely to see, Zeekerss came clean and said they and their friends have been hooked on R.E.P.O. another co-op horror banger on Steam. you know the game that’s been making waves ever since it first dropped with its chaotic gameplay and uncomfortably horrifying puppets.

Instead of acting territorial about another game taking the spotlight, Zeekerss did something most devs wouldn’t:  they let it inspire them. and honestly? Respect.

In their own words, R.E.P.O.’s “type gameplay loop and world building” gave them the boost they needed to actually work on Lethal Company again. It’s the horror dev equivalent of drinking a Red Bull and deciding to remodel your haunted spaceship.

What’s Coming Next?

Zeekerss didn’t drop a release date for the next update yet ( boo), but did confirm that work is underway. After taking time off to avoid burnout and rethink the game’s direction, the new content is being developed with polish and cohesion in mind. The takeaway? The update won’t just be “more stuff ” it’s going to be better stuff.

Final Thoughts

The Lethal Company fandom has been patient, and it’s finally paying off. with Zeekers back in the pilot seat, fueled by spooky puppet mayhem courtesy of R.E.P.O. there’s a whole lot more we can look forward to in the coming future.

Moral of the story? Even our favorite devs need a little horror-induced inspiration sometimes. Keep your flashlights charged and your comms open because Lethal Company is back in business, and I can’t wait to see the Mayhem it will cause.
